    2002 E350 7.3 lots of mods

Might seem expensive, but have you tried pricing out what it would cost you to build this van? Find yourself a 7.3 van ($10-15k?, I'm not too knowledgeable about 7.3 van prices), add the CCV pop top (easily $20-25k depending on options), get the Quigley 4x4 conversion ($15k, but they won't work...

    Insurance question

I have state farm and that is what my agent told me as well. However, when I pressed him on it, he told me IF they had to pay out for a total loss, they would be very unhappy about it. When I kept pressing him about it, they finally admitted they can modify the value of my van, thus raising my...

That Dometic faucet pump looks sweet. I bought a cheapo one on amazon designed for the 5 gallon office water jugs, but can't seem the get the plasticky taste out. Would love to hear your thoughts on this one!

What direction did you head when you outgrew your 4runner?

How about an AWD Transit, or older 4x4 E-Series? Plenty of space in both. The latter will be more capable off-road, the former will have better on-road driving manners and get better gas mileage.

Econoline E350 2nd Row Captain's Seat, passenger side, Grey Cloth - Minneapolis, MN

I have a passenger side 2nd row Chateau captain's seat in grey cloth for sale. Not sure what year van it came out of, but the seat belt receivers are NOT compatible with the buckles in my 2013 van. I'm sure someone on this forum knows the year cutoff for when the seat belt design changed. I do...

I totally agree that it's often hard to know how to search for things when you are new! Like you said, "you don't know what you don't know." Of course I'm not saying that all new people are detrimental to forums. Everyone is new at some point, and there's no point in gatekeeping. A post stating...

New to van life- Questions on Red Cross ERV

Sorry for your loss, and it's awesome you are taking the time to roadtrip with your kids. For cooling, I think that's going to depend on what kinds of situations you expect to be camping in. Will you be dispersed camping most of the time? Or RV sites with electric hookup? We've gotten by with...
