When my camper went on I already hade ome hd dakar springs and that has been more than enough for me. I don't have any cabinetry in the back as of yet mainly storage boxes and fridge and water (no more than 10 gallons typically). I do have full underbody aluminum skids (yes aluminum is fine...
not yet, I have put a lot of thought into what I want to do but every trip I do is different. I cant come up with a solution that is as versatile as packing out some storage boxes and laying those out depending on what I am doing. it will come to me though :)
I personally sleep with both parts down with me and the wife up top. It would be possible for me to sleep with the small section flipped up if I needed to. It is not a big deal to just flip it up if someone needed to get up or down etc because each section has its own mattress. This happens all...
Hi Keyne, This is my camper in the video. The fridge is a Dometic CFX-50. I have bought some screen, fabric tape, fabric glue and velcro to do velcro removable screens on the windows and back door I just have not gotten around to putting it all together yet. Mosquitos are starting to come out...
Just for the fun of it I’m going to add Alu-Cab’s Canopy Camper to the mix. I made this short video of mine and think it’s worth considering if you are looking at this class of camper
Ok, this is what I ended up doing. I ordered a replacement camera and harness extension from rostra (250-8631-W) I then mounted that next to the 3rd brake light on the Alu-Cab and ran the harness extension through the frame of the Camper. It gives me a good overview of what is behind me. I...
that Is pretty much how you have to do it to get up and down because there is not a standard external ladder for this. There is plenty of room on the big panel for one person to stay up top asleep while another gets out to use the bathroom or whatever. The full platform with both down is...
The back door is on pretty strong hydraulics and pushes itself open when you undo the latch. I have opened mine on a slope with no problems. I have 33 spare on mine and it looks like it could go a tad bigger (see photo) but if you have the side molle panels anything bigger than a 33 would...
Nothing really fancy I have bilstein 5160/6112 with ome hd dakkars. And I agree Alu-cab did a amazing job with this. I just have to re-figure out my layout in the back but it’s nice like a blank canvas. ??
I got the national Luna lights, jerrycan holder, corner molle panels and spare tire mount. It took most of the day for them to install but I had a dual battery system and wiring done at the same time so that was a bunch of the time. No problems at all
All I have to say if you are on the fence about this product don't be. This thing is solid and its little things I did not notice when I first looked at it but see now that I love. like all the t-track inside the interior frame, so many options for customizing the inside my head is spinning...
For the record and I was very excited when mine did fit in my garage (tacoma). I have a standard height garage door and had less than an inch when pulling it in. I don't have anything on top no cross bars or anything so depending on your lift (mine is about 2 inch and 1 inch bigger tires)
