Coroners Ambulance Looking for wiring help

I’d recommend a pure sine 2000 watt. The Renogy unit I’m running seems decent and was reasonably priced. I’ve got a separate 4 stage charger. So far no transfer switch… but one day it will be there also.

    Yes Another Ambulance Build

Ahh that reminds me that I discovered a new hole in the floorboards under the drivers heal. I'm hoping to leave it till spring when it's warmer and dryer.

    97 E350 Crestline Ambo Build/Mod

Over the summer I noticed a drop in performance from the 7.3. After stewing on it for a bit it occurred to me I hadn’t changed the fuel filter in a while, and it seemed like a good place to start… So… how black do diesel filters normally get? I think this one was past its prime. 8 years...

    Considering an AWD Toyota Sienna

My aunt and uncle live in a logging camp that is only accessible by logging roads that have minimal maintenance. Sometimes the road borders on impassible. Washboard and potholes that swallow a whale are common. There are warning signs that the 12' wide off highway logging trucks may not drive on...

    Considering an AWD Toyota Sienna

If it’s economy you’re looking for I’d recommend a 2004-09 Prius. They can be bought for a low price and frequently last to 500k-1,000k miles. Add a 1.5” lift to raise it to normal car height and enjoy. Keep your bigger vehicles for longer trips and more serious stuff. I know… it’s a van forum...

03 E450 Brake Flex Hose Question

@Abitibi I’ve got drums on my ‘97 so my setup is quite different. Dave had a 2003 Ambo last I heard.

looking for ideas on ford E250 springs replacement

Hope they work out well for you… 3400 lbs is very similar to mines front end weight. I’m happy with the 880s Moog springs I’ve got on the front.

    Econoline cat converter protection

My '97 7.3 PSD has a Cat... the complete '01 exhaust I haven't installed yet doesn't have a Cat. I feel like someone would be doing me a favor if they took the Cat out of my Diesel since Ford stopped putting them in to 7.3 PSDs.

Pics of your VAN! Post up!

I’ve never owned a Delica, but friends who do have told me they are great. They aren’t super powerful but get the job done. The heads are a potential issue, but seem to hold up if they aren’t pushed too hard.

MOIRAI 1995 4x4 Fire Rescue BUILD Thread

Score. Autosol works great for polishing headlights… and even gauge cluster plastic. I’m sure it would help keep them looking like new also.

Resurrected… insurance wrote it off for a hood, fender, headlight, bumper cover, rad, condenser, rad mount, and coolant reservoir. Bought it back, sourced the parts, and paid to have it all fixed. When the dust settles it’ll have cost less than half of what the estimated repair bill was for...

    Cummins Canoe (A Stepvan Story)

Random 3am thought after a 15 hour work day... How difficult would it be to drop in a 350 (or different engine) that came as an option in a step van into your rig to drive it home? I know the fuel mileage would suck, but at least it could get you home? Heck, a 350 on propane would probably...

It's hard to imagine a 30ish mm bar not making a significant difference. With 4k/side spring packs in the rear, it didn't handle poorly, but now it's nicer... :D

    FOUND Vans For Sale!

I'd lay odds that @Abitibi knows this rig... I suspect I've seen it in his threads. And the odds of him not knowing the owner of another 4x4 Crestline Ambo on MVO in his area of town are next to nothing.

And now the moment you didn't know you've been waiting for...Atl-Atl's 4x4 Ford E350 RV documentation thread!!

Can you bump up the pressure or flow in your steering pump to make it easier to turn? I recently did a P/S conversion on my Fj40 using a Scout II box and Saginaw pump. By carefully selecting the pump and pressure regulator components, I can now palm (or 1 finger) steer 33x10.50 A/Ts on dry...

The blue was an abandoned can of Rust-Oleum paint that was left behind at my sons place when he moved out... very fast drying and I liked the colour. I'd "primed" the axle brackets with zinc paint for galvanized spray paint... the upper mounts weren't (to save time) and because they wont be...

Such limited 4x4 van choices with decent gas mileage (in the US)

That’s shocking that Sprinter exhaust systems are sooo expensive. I know Mercedes, but that’s insane. At 65-70 mph I got 16.5 mpg in a 10k e350 Ambulance. In the 8 years I’ve owned it the fuel bowl rebuilt cost me about $30, alternator $250, GPR $30, vacuum pump $50, tires about $400 for all 6...

Painted upper mounds. Installed… finally. I’m very happy with the results , how it fits up in tight, and how well it works. It’s a tad harsher over speed bumps at low speed, but handling is far more predictable. Versus standard aftermarket. This one doesn’t look as bad as some, but you’re...
