It's not really a traditional RT. It's a race compound rubber on a different carcass. They're used in stadium truck racing and ordered by race teams, it's not a DOT tire. I'd like a 40" AT tire.

Based on my experience, either stick with 37" tires or make the jump to 40's. 38's have almost all of the downsides of 40's (gearing requirement, fuel economy, replacement cost, etc) without any of the benefits. You will start to rub the tops and backs of the fender liners and no wheel change...

I'd regear the truck before switching to diesel. 5.13 with 37's or 38's is perfect.
