Had a great runaway trip with a Buddy last week.
First we went to Rainbow Canyon in Death Valley and watched some jets fly by below us and then it was off to the Panamint Valley for an overnighter.
Spotted this guy while heading home. Almost ran him over. See the KM2 tread pattern in the dirt...
I think black goes better with the darker colored jeeps than it does with lighter colors.
I got a white jeep and color matched the top because I am a desert rat and I love reflecting all the heat away I can.
Had a great time camping in Death Valley and the Panamint Valley earlier in the week.
Found a concrete slab in the middle of nowhere and it became a campsite.
If you are buying your jeep in America. Hunter jeep in the Antelope Valley (Southern California near L.A.) still has some on the lot. Good luck they are going quick.
Have not taken mine off since original install.
No top season is very short out here in the Mojave. Seemed like a PIA to take it off for two weeks a year.
Two ways to go with Coleman.
Get the rare and cool stuff for bucks... or garage sale lotto. I went with garage sale lotto.
Stove is a two burner from the 50's for $3.00 and it works great.
Latern is a duel fuel from Walmart. It too works great.
Tent heater from Dad. Gotta love burnt avocado...
Many many off road vehicles since I started doing this back in the 70's.
Most vehicles I kept stock + tires. The rest just got tires and springs and occasionally, axle gears.
The body of these vehicles were often modified to accommodate sleeping, eating etc.
Amazing where you can go if you...
Lol, Sadly we are 3,000 miles apart. I have a set in the garage I would have given you just to have them taken away.
After you put them on to pass can you take them back off? That slight bit of tire showing gives your van a weightlifter in a suit look.
