Hey Vortec Guys! / Sierra pickup / Suburban / Yukon etc - Finally has Index!

It threw P0171/174. In thinking intake manifold gasket, not knock sensors. Although I'll probably change them if I have the intake manilfod off. Only 40s here so nice. MAF is brand new. But I hand not though if checking intake for leaks.

Hey Vortec Guys! / Sierra pickup / Suburban / Yukon etc - Finally has Index!

Once again, super helpful thread. I woke up this morning to a CEL. Too lean on both banks. Groan. Job seems straightforward, but I'd be lying if I said I wasn't intimidated by it.

    I got here as fast as I could - '04 Suburban Z71

I replaced my lower lenses today with some new Depos. The old ones were leaking and starting to mildew on the inside. Huge difference: My turn signal / flashers were starting to flake out so I replaced the flasher unit. As a bonus, this one eliminates hyper flash in LED bulbs so I switched...

Taking advantage of the holiday weekend to catch up on some nags: Rebuilt parking brake using AC Delco kit. The shoes were okay but the adjustors were seized up-so it would work for a few weeks and then stop. Finally got around to changing my plugs and wires. #1 and #8 require some serious...

Tracked down my intermittent CEL today and swapped out the MAF. I read that some folks had success with cleaning it, but honestly it's so cheap to replace. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I've read about this on the z71 Tahoe suburban forum. Definitely compelling. I wonder how much better I'd be with steel lines and fresh fluid. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No rubbing at all, even at full lock. I measured everything today and sprayed the torsion bolts with pb blaster. The front is 2" lower than the back. I'm going to see how far I can get. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Made more great progress this weekend! New 33" Cooper ATP's Garmin 760LMT w/backup camera The garmin ended up being a great solution. I've been wanting a dedicated gps and my wife wants an backup camera. I researched a lot and went this route instead of installing a new head unit...

Also, scored a cheapo Reese cargo basket for $60 at a yard sale. It's comically small on the suburban but I still dig it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
