Ram 1500 AEV Recruit, anyone drive one?

If I recall a recruit has been converted to a 2500 dog house (hood, fenders, grill, and then the AEV bumper) then they add the AEV 1500 lift, add badging, and AEV 1500 wheels. So, yes if you like the front end, the lift can be replaced if ever needed. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Ram 1500 AEV Recruit, anyone drive one?

Depending on the suspension it’s a good deal or a lemon. I’ve heard of major issues with the air ride on the 1500 equipped with an AEV lift. If it’s just the normal front end you’re GTG. But if it’s 50% off MSRP and only has 15k miles, my money is in it being a Lemon. They are a really good...

Spare tire smaller than the tires on the truck?

100% agree. I’m in a rental right now as a drunk lady backed into my Ram in a parking lot. Personally I like my vehicles analog with a nice infotainment system and a few creature comforts like ventilated seats, that’s about it. All the collision alerts, safety stuff, and auto shut off at...

Why are other full size SUV's not used in overlanding/offroading as often as Forerunner/Landcruiser?

I haven’t checked, but I doubt a 200 series is any less girthy than a Tahoe, Explorer, or any other full size american rig. I’m sure there is a difference but I would be surprised if it’s over 6”. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Spare tire smaller than the tires on the truck?

I think you have me confused with the OP. In an emergency I also wouldn’t be concerned with senseless DOT and/or government regulations. Most states have laws about modifying/lifting your suspension as well, but we don’t pay any attention to them. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

Spare tire smaller than the tires on the truck?

A 37 will not fit in the spare location on a Ram. It’s really not dangerous to run a different tire. Like I said I wouldn’t do it for long or at high speed, but differentials are literally designed to spin axle shafts at different speeds. Why do you think your tires don’t chirp around...

Spare tire smaller than the tires on the truck?

As long as you don’t have locked diffs, it’s fine for an emergency. I wouldn’t do 60 on the highway with it either, but a back road at 35mph would be fine. If you have free spin hubs, or an axle disconnect even better. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

EPA Diesel Engine “Delete Tuning” Crackdown...Is It Here Now?

Lol. Not sure how any of that statement would put me on some scary watch list. Besides the feds and local LEOs have had my info for years since I have many NFA items. Poor boot licking boomer, you don’t know what freedom is anymore. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Typical boomer. I don’t like Cheeto so I must love the other guy. Who said any thing about dumbo ears? He was just as bad as king Cheeto. I’m for whoever wants to protect the rights of the people. And so far it sure as ******** ain’t king Cheeto, or sir “where am I”. As of right now Jo...

EPA Diesel Engine “Delete Tuning” Crackdown...Is It Here Now?

How about the cops that pulled 2 peaceful citizens from their car and beat and tazed them in Atlanta? We can go around like this all day. We wouldn’t be in the mess in the first place if LEOs didn’t harm citizens. That’s not a statement on all LEOs either. It’s time for them to point out and...

EPA Diesel Engine “Delete Tuning” Crackdown...Is It Here Now?

My original post got deleted by the mods so I’ll write it again. No. I do not advocate violence against service members, let alone ANY individual. Its vitally import that we as Americans protect our rights (which means I can do what ever I want, when ever I want to do it so long as I am not...

Features and annoyances of your 2017+ RAM 1500 or 2500

Are you talking about the hill assist? As in when you’re on a hill you can let go of the break and the truck won’t roll back? If so I absolutely hate that feature. It’s jarring when it releases after a second on the throttle. But I agree on the mirrors. I love that feature on my wife’s Audi...

Ram 2500 XL for overland / expedition trips

I also like the smaller foot print of the Atlas, but like the room of the Habitat. I just wish they would offer a forward flip version of the habitat, like the old flip pacs. That, paired with a 270 awning would be really nice. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk

New luxury Roof Top Camper soon on the market.

This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever seen. What problems does it solve? The heater, solar, and battery, granted, are very nice features, but I just don’t see where the improvement is since all of those things are easily added to existing product lines. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
