I have a high lift or farm jack in each of my off road vehicles. Every one of them has been used for one reason or another. But with having the high lift you allso need to have the proper accessories to use it as safely as you can for what your doing. I have a strap that hooks to the rim for...
My wife and I started using cast iron 6 years ago for camping. With in a year it moved to the kitchen. And now all our pans are cast, and a assortment of ceramic coated cast woks and other cookware. For oil on them we mostly use avocado oil, it doesn't seam to smoke as much.
Got the complete service history for the car as well as the inspection from the localish subaru dealer. It had a check engine light come on about a month ago and he took it into the dealer for an inspection. The dealer said it needs the front O2(air fuel sensor) sensor which from what I can find...
Thanks again for the all the input. Prices seam to be a bit higher here. We can wait a bit but unfortunately not to long as trying to pack the family in a little Mazda b4000 is a bit fun. We did find another one. A 2006 141,000km and asking $9000. 2 owners and they new each other.
Also I...
I found 2 foresters that I like. If it was up to you which would you go for. One is a 1998 with 177,000km on it. The other is a 2006 with 300,000km on it. Both are around $3700 Canadian.
Thanks for the input all. From what I have found we are probably going to try and find a 2.5 forester with a 5 spd. There are a couple that i have come across that seam to be worth looking at. As for off road, we just need it for dirt roads as we have this for the more 4x4 type terrain...
Great info guys. Seams we are going to be looking for a 2003-2008 4 cly with a Manuel trans. I'm not to worried about being under powers with the trailer on as we don't go far and I'm ok with taking my time. Still not sure on forester or out back. Will probably need to wait and drive a couple...
Unfortunately a couple weeks ago my wife was in an accident and rolled our 2006 vibe. We really liked that car and it is a 50/50 if it is a right off or not. So we are looking at possibly an outback or forester. Looking to spend around 8-10g. What years should I look at. Which motors. Ect. We...
We take our 2006 vibe fwd on lots of back road camping. Some times towing a small trailer. I keep our old winter tires and put them on if we are going on the back roads. Would like to get some proper all terains for it this year.
We have a 4 person backpacker tent for the wife, kid and myself. To keep us warm and comfy we use a double wide backpackin style roll up air matress toped with sheep skins. Then depending on the time of year either sleeping bags or a couple down blackets. We found the sheep skins to be great to...
I have used a few different winches now, them being a warn 8274, a warn m8000 and currently a t-max ew9000. The warn m8000 worked great for 4 years but corosion finally got the best of it and the cassing and mounts started to crack. It was used for work and probabbly got on averaged, used 6-8...
Used it allong with my bumper to un seat the beads on 4 tires so I could change them over to new rim. It wasn't today, but it was this week. :sombrero:
I did the same thing when I first got mine. Try lo and 2nd and 3rd gears. Should be smother. And for lo and 1st, try letting the clutch out with out using the gas. Once you go to larger tires the bouncing in lo and 1st goes away. I went to 33x12.5r15.
The wife and I dont have work schedules that always line up for when we want to go on trips. And she finally got fedup with missing out on trip so she went out and bought her own truck and had me build it up a bit. So now she can come and meet up with us on trips. So now who ever is off work...
