Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

Yeah doesn't look like it's on their site, I had bought mine directly from OK4WD and we installed it during camper install. I'd give OK4WD a call, they'll help you get your hands on one.

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

It's a GP Factor folding table - so useful! Had a tailgate table on my JKU and knew I needed to add something similar to the camper. Seem to be using it every time I open the camper door now!

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

Keep meaning to take more pics, but absolutely loving my camper so far. Installed late last year, so we've only had time to get one night in between crappy weather and being quite busy. Impressed with the build quality and how straightforward it has been to work on it! Finally getting around...

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

My taco is on a 2" lift with 33s and I come in at a bit under 8' with a canopy camper. Since you're already thinking about removal, have you considered going for a Khaya? The removal process for those is fairly easy.

Introducing the “NEW” Alu-Cab Canopy Camper

I've been checking in on your build, looks great so far! Love the idea of converting the entire truck bed area into a bed, been thinking about doing something similar once I build out.

James Baroud Evo RTT (Grey) - $2300 - Located in NJ -- SOLD

Selling my JB RTT in preparation to sell my Jeep. It's a grey tent, in good shape overall. I have about 20 nights in it, and the signs that it is used (shown in attached pictures): There is one small chip in the cargo area, which has been there since I bought it - never leaked or got any...

Odd Wiring Question - Jeep JKU and Xventure XV-3

Thanks guys, haven't had a chance to work on this since posting unfortunately. Certainly could be an issue with LEDs vs my Jeeps' non-LED lighting. Ottsville - good call. I used a Mopar 7 pin wiring kit, so should be correct wiring. I'll have to look into upping the fuse size, any guess on...

Odd Wiring Question - Jeep JKU and Xventure XV-3

Thanks for the link! 99% sure I wired it correctly (it's a plug n play wiring harness) but my plan is to check all connections tonight. Need to get myself a multimeter, too.

    7-pin Wiring Issue/Question

Hey everyone, Having an issue with lighting for my XV-3. I installed the Mopar 7-pin wiring harness on my JKU last night, and the trailer's lighting didn't work properly. Here's what is happening: -When my Jeep's lights are on, the trailer lights do not function (brakes, indicator, running...

    Fridge slide for ARB 50?

I didn't use a slide for a few months and was pretty quickly annoyed with opening the fridge in the back of my JKU. Ended up going with an Alucab tilting slide, it was really light compared to other slides and the tilting feature helps my wife get into the fridge. I am still working through a...

    Thunderstorm

I was caught in a nasty thunderstorm last July, pretty beefy winds and rain and I knew it was coming in around 2am. Turned in early, got a few hours of rest, then hopped inside the jeep with the seats folded down and waited it out (till the sun rose, unfortunately). It sucked, but I had some...

    Relieve my ignorance

You can lock JB tents! There are two little pop out pins that are in the latch, remove them and you can put a lock in it. I store the ladder in the tent itself (fits fine in my JB Explorer over the sleeping bag), but it also fits in my JKU trunk sideways (right behind the rear seat).

    Clamshell vs. 360° Hardshell RTT

No experience with a clamshell, but I'm really happy I went with the JB Explorer for the venting alone. I've only used it solo so far, and I like to be cooler when I sleep, so being able to open the whole tent up (essentially) is huge for me. I've been up in it in bad weather, and the headroom...

Fridge high or low... on the drawers or at floor level. Input needed

If you do go with a slide, check out the Alucab tilting slides. Just picked one up recently for my ongoing DIY trunk setup, and it makes a huge difference. My wife couldn't reach into the fridge if it was non tilting (JKU on 35s), so it works perfectly. Really happy with the overall weight of...
