Identify this sink (it's a fire pit)

That would make more sense. Edit: Yep, found it. A search of "Fire Sense Notebook 11.82-in Charcoal Grill" show it for sale.

Identify this sink (it's a fire pit)

Can anyone identify the sink in this photo? The stool-like item between the two chairs. Or recommend a similar item?

    1970's-80's Domestic Buyers' Guide

Converting a van also allows you to widen your scope for potential donor bodies. If you only want a factory converted version, and only want the HD version, you may be looking a LONG time for one in decent shape. And good luck finding a pre '73 4x4. Seems that they really didn't take off until...

    1970's-80's Domestic Buyers' Guide

FWIW, many of the current DIY kits can be better executed than some of the old-school aftermarket conversions, and it would give you the opportunity to use parts that are best for what you want to do. http://boulderoffroadvans.com/4x4-conversion-kits

Either of those bags would be more attractive without giant logos on them.

    Camp shower advice needed

Having used a modified bug sprayer bottle with a kitchen sink side sprayer for a shower, I typically used about two gallons. About a half gallon to wet down, then I soap up, and the remaining gallon and a half to rinse off. Having a spray head with a trigger allows you to conserve the water. To...

TeriAnn, is that a Defender rear door you swapped on? Any reason for ditching the Dutch door?

What are you using for a coffee maker and coffee brand when camping/overlanding?

NESCAFÉ Gold Blend with a tiny amount of sugar and a pinch of salt premixed in it, and hot water from an old Coleman bottle-top stove modified with a guard to keep the pot from sliding off. I'm a monster. I know.

LS Swap, keep AC or buy aftermarket?

For the squarebodies, I'd do Vintage Air. They have a kit made to fit that truck. The price isn't outrageous compared to replacing and repairing the original parts. And it's easier to fix than the factory setup.

...so, I meant to start this build thread about 3 years ago. 1992 RRC SWB overlanding

Any details on the LS swap? Is it adapted to the Rover transmission, or did you swap in a GM transmission also?

Post pictures of your Land Rover.

I bought it from a Rover/Jaguar specialist Auto Maganto. It was the worst one he's ever traded, and he wasn't quite upfront about just how poor the mechanical condition of the engine and suspension (all the bushings were worn out, but swivel balls good, driveshafts on their last leg, engine runs...

And after a suspension refresh, and some new tires, it looks like this...and needs new driveshafts.

It's a '92 out of Spain, It's a lot rougher than it looks in that photo. But yes, it's a cloth interior, no sunroof, no ABS, no traction control, no air bags, manual seats, manual transmission, diesel. So probably the most reliable version of this truck ever built!

Five seconds after it rolled off the delivery trailer. Diesel, 5-speed, 2-door - all the specs the US never got. Undergoing a suspension refurbishment before SCARR next month.

Where to store fuel siphon after use?

I don't use a siphon, but a funnel with a tube. I stick corks in both ends both to trap what little fuel and vapor is still in it, and to keep dirt and grit out of it. Then it gets rolled up into an old drybag (less likely to puncture or rip) and stuck with the tools.

    RRC Bottle Jack

Here is what my base model 1992 RRC Diesel came with. That's a jack handle clipped to the side panel, the double jack, and a pair of wheel chocks.

Ski Bum Truck V2.0, F450 Rough Road RV

Little late here, but I use industrial conveyor belt material. There are different types, so make sure you are getting a fabric backed synthetic rubber that will stand up to freezing temps. Not all of them do.

Where to find plastic re-usable liquid storage bags?

If you can deal with a larger bag (25 gallons or more), then the Aero Tec bags could be useful. http://atlinc.com/pillow.html#C2 EDIT: more info, pricing and better pics of the small bags here http://www.atlinc.com/potable-drinking-water-bladder-tanks.html
