On number 4 of your known issues, you say that repairing the rear door latch is easy. Can you please tell me what needs to be done here? I have the same issue and I'm sure myself and the future owner would be interested in knowing how to tackle this one. Thanks!
I like your truck - I have a 95 Disco TDI myself. These are awesome, hands-on adventure vehicles that have a tremendous amount of character. Terrific 4WD rigs, I love mine.
Just installed a new windshield today. Putting in new headlight units this weekend and fixing two minor electrical gremlins. When I sell this truck to the next owner it will be perfect, aside from the miscellaneous "badges of honor" on the body. Gave up on that long ago.
Buy an older Toyota...
I recently bought an adventure trailer that came with 3 rare AEV Pintler Beadlock Wheels and 35" KM2 BF Goodrich tires. I'm working on a classic Land Rover project and want to convert the AEV trailer wheels to Land Rover wheels and 31" tires. So, as awesome as these wheels are, they've got to...

I purchased this 2004 Toyota 4Runner Sport Edition in 2013. It has been professionally modified for off-pavement use and has approximately 141,700 miles on the odometer. The truck is a great...
This has been an interesting thread to read through. Can anybody comment on the long term reliability of a Kelderman air ride suspension system? What would a service schedule look like post installation?
I'm interested in purchasing a pre-owned 2007 or 2008 Earthroamer, however am having a hard time with financing because a NADA value has not been established. Does anyone have a suggestion for a work around? I'm also creating a short list of lenders that have a track record of financing these...
Thank you for the complement. The steelies we're ok. I didn't love the look and they were heavy so I ultimately decided to put them up on Craigslist. I'm undecided on my next wheel choice. I would love to find a used set of Hutchinson Bead Locks - they come up for sale from time to time. That...
I had a chance to drive Tin Cup as well as the route through the Rocky Mountain National Forest (a challenge at altitude with my V6 and a camper in tow...we DID IT THOUGH!)
I spent a total of two weeks in Moab, and would consider it the pinnacle of the trip. Adam and I came up with this back door entrance to White Wash Sand Dunes which was without question the coolest overland route I've ever been on! Made a few new friends as well. :-)
I'm getting out of order here. Before heading to Aspen, my friend Adam and I did some wheeling in Idaho Springs. Adam blew a diff in a difficult rock garden and we had a hell of a time getting out. Winching for hours and then airing down to 12psi and sending it in 2WD finally did the trick...
From Buena Vista I left for Durango for the work week and then made my voyage to Moab! (I found it very hard to find free camping in Durango. This picture was taken very near my campsite.)
I then drove down to Buena Vista for a few days. I found the scenery beautiful and the town warm and welcoming. Not a big place but a fun outdoor getaway. The kayak park in town was pretty epic. Fun mountain bike trails as well. The old truck and Airstream was an art exhibit very near my...
I spent a couple of weeks bouncing around Breckenridge/Dillon/Frisco/Silverthorne as well as a few nights up on Boreas Pass. At one point, I had to bring the 4Runner in for a wheel bearing replacement and had a Tinder date lined up the same night. My bud Alex loaned me his Scout so I didn't have...
Here are some of my favorite photos from my 2015 Four Corners Tour. These pics were from our drive through the Maroon Bells National Forest from Aspen to Crested Butte. My 4Runner did great.
