    Updated 2021 Colorado images released

My initial reaction to seeing the posted photo was positive. I don't mind the 2020 Silverado HD either, so perhaps I'm my tastes are different from the majority.

Why not plug into truck? Next best option is a round 12V connector for trailer battery. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Gladiators on the Rubicon Trail

It's insured for somewhere around $100k I believe. Lots of Jeeps end up around there. Wayalife's Gladiator build is claimed to be at $40-50k on top of the price of the truck, and I don't think he's done with that one yet.

    Gladiators on the Rubicon Trail

I enjoyed the video content, but I have mixed feelings about it. On one hand, if you put "Rubicon" in massive letters, on the hood of the vehicle, you need to prove to the media / public that it actually can do the Rubicon trail. On the other hand, in stock form, the vehicle really struggled...

1972 GMC K20 Dubbed "The Wilson Project" ***UPDATES***

Great looking truck. Being born in the late 80s, I never paid too much attention to the trucks from the early 70s. But, I bough an RC rock crawler with a '72 K10 body on it, and now these trucks always catch my eye when I pass one. There are not a ton out there getting used, that are in as...

    Comparison shopping: Colorado, Gladiator, Tacoma

In this video, the dash seems to throw reduced torque or disabled messages for the limited slip differential, whether the "locker" is engaged or not.

    Comparison shopping: Colorado, Gladiator, Tacoma

When the 2nd gen Canyon and Colorado were released for the 2015 model year, a lot of comments on the internet suggested the 4.3L would have been a better choice for dropping under the hood of a (midsize) pickup truck than the 3.6L. The 4.3L is perceived as a much more "truck worthy" engine by...

When is it time to move on? XK with 180K and JKUR with 145K.

It sounds like you are ready for a new vehicle! You also seem rather value conscious. The JT is the most expensive vehicle in its class though, so it’s a surprising target for your next purchase. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is the Ranger the Hilux we've been wanting?

    Oh? Even Tundra and Titan?

Is the Ranger the Hilux we've been wanting?

The tailgate on a midsize truck is not that heavy, and is pretty easy to manage, damped or not. On full size trucks though, the tailgates do get pretty heavy, so I can see people wanting the assistance features on those. Personally though, I'm happy with my "one less thing to break" basic...

    New trucks and 4low...

Is the Ranger the Hilux we've been wanting?

If you put a small travel trailer behind that little turbo, you won’t be passing too many gas stations without stopping. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Is the Ranger the Hilux we've been wanting?

Indeed. Apparently "It only costs $XX to fill the tank on my Ranger" leads to the perception of the vehicle being fuel efficient. SMH.

Is the Ranger the Hilux we've been wanting?

GM actually DECREASED the 1500's fuel tank size in 2019 to 24 gallons, from 26 gallons on the 2018. Still no larger option. They are going the wrong way! The truck did not get more efficient either. Although they reformatted their fuel management system, the truck got bigger, offsetting any...

    New trucks and 4low...

I'd say I'm pretty close to "an average pickup buyer" with my driving habits lately. In September of last year, I bought a 2018 Sierra 1500 4x4. 2018 was the last model year the 2-speed transfer case was standard in the 1500. I did not buy the truck with the intention of any challenging off...
