I think the D5 still has the Ford trailer brake interface, I would imagine the Defender would be the same. I’m sure clearview will eventually come out with replacement tow mirrors just like they did for the LR3/4.
Something must be setup wrong because my open diff LR3 doesn’t have that much wheel spin. Every D5 I’ve ever seen off road barely spin the wheels a quarter turn before it has figured it out. Should ask Steve what the traction control settings were.
I don’t see how it’s that hard to understand what I’m trying to say. I agree with you on the cargo space being smaller, that’s what my problem with it is. However you didn’t specifically say the cargo space so I assumed you were talking about the whole vehicle, which is the reason I replied to...
Thank you. If you take off the spare tire it is shorter than the LR4. With it on it’s a few inches longer. The lack of stepped roof also hurts cargo capacity.
The interior stuff is a actually pretty important from a durability standpoint. Some grain structures are more durable than others and some fabrics are easier to clean than others.
Yeah I agree the cargo space is smaller I’ve seen both in person and I’ve had a LR3 since new. It’s my biggest issue with the Defender. My point about wheel size is the fact that no Land Rover in the US since the LR3 has had the option of anything smaller than a 19’. My point being it’s a step...
It’s wider and taller than the D4. The D4’s body is slightly longer however the Defender is longer overall. 18’s from the factory are a big deal for a modern Land Rover considering most in the last 12 years could only fit 19’s or bigger. 16’s or 17’s would be better but 18’s will work fine.
This something That’s been bugging me about my D3 for ages because I can’t seem to find the answer to it. Does anybody else’s doors click when the door check hits the detents in the check arm. My driver door is the worst followed by the passenger which isn’t that bad and then the rear doors are...
That’s $65k before markup. They stated that they’re only going to build a max of 25,000 units a year and that it’ll take them a few years to ramp up production to that amount. If it sells expect a $20k markup.
I can think of a lot of things I’d rather have than a $65k knock off Santana with a...
It’s bigger than a LR4. ?♂️ It’s taller, longer, and wider. The core differences is in off road capability and load capacities as well as interior design. There are also some key differences mechanically like stronger suspension bushings and larger diameter shocks. As well as the strongest axle...
