I will have to measure the existing holes on the mounting bracket, but it wouldnt be difficult to drill new mounting holes. I will get some pictures of the mounting brackets this afternoon.
From what i can find, these seats retail starting at about $600, so i feel like they are fairly priced...
I recently bought a van and have removed 4 of the 6 captains chairs that came inside it. This was built as an executive limo style van, so these are super plush and comfortable chairs. they are manual adjustments and come with the mounting bases. non-swiveling
This is pictures of one of the...
Yeah I feel like it was a good find. It has the 5.4 V8 which runs strong and smooth. I was able to snatch it up in time, the guy selling said there was basically a line of people behind me.
the interior was setup with 6 large leather captains chairs, kind of like an executive transport bus...
you are describing exactly what i built for my grand caravan. i removed the 3rd row and used the mounting points to install the sleeping platform, ive had it in there for 1.5 years now with many nights spent in the van. it works awesome. the minivan is a fantastic platform for those of us who...
yeah ive spent 3 nights in it so far. one with me and the wife, and another with my brother for a race last weekend. my brother and I are both 6'2+ and almost 400 lbs combined, there was a bit of flex in the center of the platform, but not too bad. I guess flex is the nature of the wood...
the height at the center of the platform (between the base and the top) is 17 inches i think? i dont remember my exact dimensions. I built it to fit my rubbermade bins underneath. at the front and rear though there is a bit more room due to the well and the change in floor height.
the bed is...
ive been seeing alot of the wheelchair caravans around and wondering what they did to get the lift. the only thing i can find with a google search is an airbag lift. thanks!
I picked up a 2010 Grand caravan a few months ago to replace my 2001 ford ranger for daily driver and camping duty. My wife and I do alot of weekend trips where we end up sleeping in the car at one trailhead or another. Living in the northeast, our driving is on roads and we are never very far...
I do like the eurovans, but It seems like they are full of small issues that you have to keep chasing. Im familiar with german cars (owned a 924S and own a 914 currently) They certainly do have appeal, but i dont think the reliability im looking for. being that its also a bit of a cult car...
we are going to go look at a grand caravan today. we will see how it feels in person.
going to a diesel engined car would be a jump into a new world for me..never owned one, and im not sure that this is the vehicle to start with. I do see myself owning a sprinter down the road. but being...
21 and 26, thats pretty promising. I dont think ill be doing any towing, but would want a hitch for bike racks.
doing some research, it looks like jucy campervans uses the grand caravan as a base...it seems like its got pretty nice useable space...
I was considering the element, i like all the features that it has..but the pop-tops are pretty hard to find out here, and sleeping inside requires the space of the front seats, which i dont want to deal with.
2 separate cars right now isnt really an option. we are renting and dont really have...
thanks for the lowdown on the astro. Its helpful to have more perspective
im having a hard time convincing my wife that a truck camper is the way to go. she is not a fan of them..and pretty adamant about gas mileage. On the other hand, all those features probably wouldnt be necessary for us...
Hello all, Ive been a lurker for a while, and really enjoy reading everything in the van forum. theres some great stuff here.
So i have a 2001 Ford Ranger extended cab XLT 2wd that is on its last legs. its got 216,000 miles on it, and while its a fine commuter for putzing back and forth to...
