Had this thing out at the racetrack all weekend, and it does attract attention. Think I probably could have sold a dozen of them. Anyways...
Short of a hardshell camper anything is going to be hell to pack up in 40 mph winds. Rain won't bother it (and it was raining as we were packing up)...
I had a previous mombasa RTT, and this really unfolds and puts away just like that did. Just on a larger scale. You can put up / take down the tent with 1 person, but it'd be a bear. With 2 people it's relatively easy.
They're expensive sure, but when you look at the cost of a new adventure trailer, or importing a kimberly kamper. The aussie prices don't look bad at all. I could never afford a new one, but I could never afford a new adventure trailer either.
Especially considering it's got what's essentially...

It's really just as simple to take it down as it is to put up. Remove a few poles, and fold it back up. You just have to take your time to make sure the tent is all packed back inside the gasket on the lid. I'd set this thing up 100 times, rather than screw with a...
Good call on the mudflaps, with the mud we get here i'd never get it clean:
It does have a rock catcher that attaches for the front. Not a real need for it around here though.
You and me both, It just kinda fell into my lap.

Use It!
oddly enough I think it's first outing will be the indy 500. Then planning on doing some camping around indiana. Don't have a lot of time to use it this year to it's potential, but should make an excellent state forest/park camper in the meantime. I'm a big guy, so the space inside the...
Thanks, it's a rare bird in the US. I only ran across one more that was a dealer sample. Apparently that venture fell through. Not surprising considering these are $30k + new in Australia.

Weighs around 1500 lbs unloaded. Setup time is under 10 minutes for the tent + awning. It also has full and screen sides for the front awning.
It's really easier than setting up a ground tent. There sales pitch is 2 men 2 poles, 2 minutes but you'd really have to know what your doing...
