What kind of cab to camper seal are you planning to use? Have you started to plan out a cab to camper door with locking mechanism, etc?

While a few year old, our Trace / Xantrex DR Series inverter has both the search mode as well as a remote switch option that can be installed. The search mode can be adjusted to turn the inverter on depending on the current draw threshold you set. Both nice features.

Two water tanks is a good idea (along with two fuel tanks). Sounds like a good direction.

IIRC, the SmartSolar has local temperature compensation built in as part of the charge controller. If you want remote temperature compensation, then you need to add the Smart Battery Sense module as another_mike mentioned.

I contacted HQST and they replied their 100 W fixed panel was a similar design (specs etc) as the Renogy panel but not from the same factory. Hence the difference in cost.
