    Full Size Dodge Thread

I ran an '09 QCLB 2500 with the 5.7 Hemi for a few years. Ended up with some wheels about like yours, 35x12.50R20 MT's, Ranch Hands front and rear, 12k winch, biggest Weatherguard tool box they make. Biggest problem was terrible ride. Added diesel springs to the front, that did wonders for...

If I put grip tape anywhere on that it would be the edge of the bumper itself.

I've heard lots of good things about those, never tried them though. I usually run the Monroe Reflex. I know there are lots of mixed opinions in those but for the money they're hard to beat IMO, at least on GMT400-800.

35% is nice if you don't want the "tinted" look. 20% is where it starts to look dark. 5% "limo" is pretty much blacked out. Zoomad, I like the way your 35% turned out!

The most common fix is to delete the cooler altogether. This also solves the problem of the leaky adapter base. I have had lines made at a local hose and fitting supplier (Axxion) that work nice. They also do a great job on trans cooler lines and custom AC lines. They can weld up custom...

There was a factory skid for the blazer tank. Same skid for 25 and 35 gallon tank. If you had the big tank it fit tight to the skid. If you had the 25 gallon tank the skid hung down below the tank and was prone to packing with mud in that area! A friend of mine had a K5 that was 6" suspension...

The reason for the vapor lock is that the fuel is actually boiling (reaching its vapor point) inside the fuel line or in the carburetor itself. The action of the mechanical fuel pump actually exacerbates the situation as it "sucks" the fuel from the tank. It's common knowledge that the...

Nice job on the hard line for the carb! If you continue to have an issue with vapor lock you could wrap it with an insulated sleeve like this one: https://www.amazon.com/Heatshield-Products-204002-Shield-Sleeve/dp/B004GNLGTQ They're usually commonly available at auto parts stores where the...

Weight Capacity of Roof or Racks

I put an extra set of factory rails on a 96 I had years ago. A buddy of mine had a car lot and I pulled them off a Tahoe that he got back wrecked. Hauled a LOT of weight up there, far more than 500 lbs on several occasions... The factory rails do bow down and touch the strips on the roof...

if the diaphragm breaks in the stock pump the electric pump will spray fuel around in the engine compartment... if the electric pump fails the stock pump may not be able to suck fuel through it. you'll have to re route the fuel lines at both ends to switch back to mechanical...

That is a very real option but you will need a $$$ return regulator to handle that pump with a carb. A regulator that won't be compatible with the L29. Money that would likely be better served funding the swap rather than stringing the carb along...

That pump will work fine, I've run them several times before and no problems. Maybe not a bad idea to keep a spare on hand but I never needed one...

One of the biggest problems with today's gas is that it evaporates out of the float bowls if the vehicle sits for a day or two. With the electric pump, you turn on the key, wait a few seconds for the float bowl to fill, push the gas to the floor one time. This will give a shot of gas to the...
