Thought I would share a bit of an update. Thanks to those of you have reached out. I am back in California this week and happy to show the truck. I know some of you are a ways away am happy to do a zoom walk through. I'll likely be starting the drive back East next week if it does not sell out here.
Hey sure am ! The build thread link is towards the top of the post. And yup you are spot on about the bed set up. The two cushions stack with the outer portion of the bed support sliding fwd under them. One of the big goals of this build for me was to keep it all low tech for reliability and...
It is time to let go of our adventure buddy. Work has me moving back over seas and hate to just see it sit for a few years.

Winter trip 2016
Had an amazing trip this winter out west, unfortunately my timing was not in sync with the big storms that rolled though the this winter. I had a few great days on Teaton pass but instead of waiting for the next system I took advantage of the high pressure and headed down to...
It looks like its been good the past few days! A buddy keeps sending me picture updates.... I had to head back a week ago for a work trip down to st martin so really shouldn't be complaining. I look you up next time out out that way and lets get some touring done. Enjoy the snow boys

One big design criteria I had was keeping the upper portion of the roof as low profile as possible and that required the leading edge of the pop top to...
Thanks ya all for the words of encouragement! Been full on with work this winter so unfortunately I have missed an amazing January and first week of February out west.... Just got my ducks in a row and huffed it to Boulder this weekend. At 170 k on the truck I wanted to give the front end some...
Hey thanks lx450, I've been really happy with the hinges. They are really quite stable laterally. I think mine only complaint is that they are alil heavy in my opinion. Im sure there is room to trim some fat so to speak.
Back to reality.... After spending almost 3 months and 10,000 miles in the truck its time to get back to work.
I spent most of that time chasing snow in the rockies. A bit ironic considering what an epic year the east had back home, but wouldn't trade this trip for anything. There were plenty...
TacomaJack I used awning track and riveted it to the camper. Then attached a cord to the fabric both top and bottom. It makes it pretty easily removable. Im not totally satisfied with water infiltration in heavy heavy heavy rain. But that has more to do with how the whole camper was designed...
