We took down the secondary comm antenna today. We start on the primary on wednesday.
In regards to the van, how many BTU's are typically needed for a diesel heater for a SB? Any recommendations would be great. One that doubles as a water heater would be optimal! Also, what cfm rating...
awesome. I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to get my longboard up and down. I guess I'll see how hard it is on the ladder once I get back home.
So what's the patches of dynamat? Is that just placed on places that tend to vibrate? So do the walls sweat at all in extreme climates? Would that thinsulate grow mold if it gets wet?
Sorry, didn't mean to thread jack but I was about to post the same thread. No point in having two.
I don't have a hitch yet so I'm going to position it to be perfect. I appreciate your help. It looks like it travels pretty far. I might end up making something a bit better to secure it to...
My dad was nice enough to help me out and put the driverside seat in and all the door rubbers.
I think I found the dirtbike holder that I'm going to get. The Ultimate MX Hauler. I just need to wait for the aluminess stuff to come in. Then I can see about positioning it for the height...
Yeah, these things look perfect.
I still think it's way too short, but they have some drop brackets on the site.
But then that takes away from the ground clearance on the back. I'm curious if you'd be able to just get longer pivot arms to drop it down further.
:victory:
I love ground up builds.. You're making me itch wanting to go to baja. We've been in a deep depression of flatness out east. Where's a hurricane when you need one.
More pics!!! ;) Good idea on the roll cage builder. I'm having trouble finding a welder in florida. I'm thinking of...
you could watch youtube videos and get a good enough idea on how to do it. It's kind of gone out with the times to be honest. Everyone kiteboards now. But that's not something you can learn on your own. You need lessons for that, because it's dangerous.
I was thinking of something maybe with a hand winch to crank it up and down a slide. Have it go up to a rubber stopper and crank it tight for travel. UGH!! I wish I could weld!!!
I'm in the same boat. There's pro's and con's to every application from what I see. at the moment I'm considering just some dynamat or that bubble sticky insulation and put some plastic sheeting up as a vapor barrier between the insulation and the paneling. I'm gonna attach the paneling to...
With a 6" lift and 34's I'm not sure how I'd even get it up there. Does it drop down or anything? Can you take a close up picture of how it's connected if it's not too much trouble? The smaller footprint would be great. Making decisions is hard.
So I'm just gonna bite the bullet for the tire carrier, but I'm gonna source a box from somewhere else and get a welder to make a swing mount for it. Anyone familiar buyers products boxes...
I've been searching and haven't found exactly what I'm looking for so I thought I'd just ask in hopes that someone can point me in the right direction. I would like to put a tire carrier and box on the back, both swingarms. I'm not a huge fan of the large bumper they make with the bars on the...
Good to know. I've lived in tropical climates all my life. All I know about is corrosion. I have no idea what elevation and cold weather do to things. I'm sure I'll have to winterize stuff, be conscious of my water system hardware, learn how to drive in snow, and make adjustments on my...
