Lifted van with dirt bike hitch carrier?

I've used the "Rage Motorsports" single bike carrier a number of times but have had this double bike carrier also from Rage sitting in a box for a couple of years now and finally pulled it out last weekend for a run down to Montana, worked really well, lots of over hang and leverage but was surprise how solid it was. The kit comes with a piece that tightens the carrier to the receiver to reduce the play. Also comes with a little ramp so loading and unload from that height is no problem.

Yeah, these things look perfect.

I still think it's way too short, but they have some drop brackets on the site.

But then that takes away from the ground clearance on the back. I'm curious if you'd be able to just get longer pivot arms to drop it down further.

Get one and then see how it fits on the van.

The drop is pretty good stock.

I didn't need a drop - rolling on 33"s - I did need a straight extension to clear the spare tire on the rear.




Get the gas can holder with the MX Hauler- definitely worth it-

Solid carrier that will hold the bike very securely. These things are awesome.

Sorry, didn't mean to thread jack but I was about to post the same thread. No point in having two.

I don't have a hitch yet so I'm going to position it to be perfect. I appreciate your help. It looks like it travels pretty far. I might end up making something a bit better to secure it to the pad.

I'm doing this for gas and all my gear/parts/tools will go in the box for easy access.
