Better detail at the Rivian site: https://rivian.com/configurator/r1t Pretty snazzy. If that truck was a girl, she'd be a "butterface" tho.

I get a good laugh out of answers like this. Three years, 100 million dollars and a hundred engineers, who've apparently all agreed on meaningless solid axles, and simple farkle to trick wannabe Defender owners, and then built 200 pre-production models, not to test, but to continue the ruse. OK.

I don't think they'll stray far. I'm sure their hardware and gear pays the bills, whereas they have to discount their clothes to get them to sell every year. I frankly never understood the clothes, other than it's the boss's grandaughter who wants to indulge in that aspect. I can't really...

I have 3, actually. But you're the legend CJ is talkin' bout.

The IKEA boards are pretty hard to beat. Just a little thicker than the IGT boards, and look great. 9 bucks vs 45 bucks. A few minutes on the tablesaw, and you're done. https://www.ikea.com/us/en/p/aptitlig-chopping-board-bamboo-80233430/

I do understand his passion for the split horizontal tailgate. Having had one on my 100 and now 200 LC, I can't imagine not having one. I love being able to root in the back in the rain, and not get wet. I love having an instant work surface; hell, half the time I'm working outside, I choose the...

Kind of bummed at the price, though. But I can get behind the quality first notion; I'm glad it's not being built to a price point, but to a certain level of quality. I'll just be watching from afar, it seems.

Have you tried running the Flat Burner on propane? You might get better performance than isobutane.

The medium has been great for us; it fits in the camper well (we have a Sprinter camper, so space is always a concern). I got the large for use here at the house, since I wanted the Jikaro table. And the small is for my solo outings in the Suzuki Samurai, where storage space is even tighter. And...

Man, I hope you like it, for the amount of effort you've put into scoring one. I'm not a huge fan, myself. The flat burner is a better unit.

Yeah, it's hard to believe that they would deviate from the tried-and-true on that front. And I'm wanting to see more on the glass hatches over the front seats.

    Overland Chef's Knife Selection

The Tiktaalik set that Carl made a few years ago, has been awesome. Simple, high quality, and space-efficient to store. Been a great asset to our tiny camper, and they get hauled to the cabin on occasion. Sadly, it looks like they're no longer available...

I think the interior is absolutely awesome. The individual switch plates shows a complete understanding of the target audience. Easy to change, easy to maintain, and great incentive for 3rd parties to make drop-in components. I have absolutely despised the work it takes to rip out a console or...

    Portable camp fire grates...?

It's hard to go wrong with the Snow Peak Pack and Carry. Bomb proof. Easy to set up and break down; literally in seconds. The addition of a grate to the bottom means the fire maintains ample access to makeup air. The downside is that the grate is cast iron. Also bomb proof, if a little heavy...

    Quality Propane Tanks for Overlanding?

To get some idea of what’s out there, look at marine sources, like West Marine, or Defender. They oftentimes have the smaller or slimmer tanks for various orientations. For fittings, I used Propane Warehouse. Never knew so many types of fittings were available!
