Rats - I often make it to the FourtilFour gathering but I'm getting a rare kitchen pass tomorrow for a backcountry day so I'm going to take advantage of it.

Thanks for linking that website - it's nigh next to impossible to find via web searches. I agree that he makes great stuff - he made some custom spring wedges for me probably 20 years ago and they're still going strong.
Offroad Design has greaseable bolts as well.

Thanks for the pics! Beautiful scenery for sure. I've been up Mt. Ord in my Bronco but haven't hiked Mt. Wrightson yet. I had not heard of the Boy Scout tragedy detailed on those signs.

Two pairs of Kuhl Renegade pants. 34W x 34L. Excellent condition. I think I wore both pairs twice before my sartorial department convinced me the 34" inseam is just too short for my 6'4" frame. The pants retail for $99 a pair. Asking $40 shipped for each pair of pants. No stains, rips...
Thanks for the trip report and excellent photos! Another spot I visited a few times years ago but probably haven't visited in 25 years now.....

Agree on the comment about the changes in the trees. The last time I was there (prob 9-10 years ago), there were trees surrounding the lookout and the cabin was "in the trees". I had heard the cabin was now locked and it appears to be the case in your photos.
Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for all the pics! I was at the show on Tuesday and Wednesday and saw some, but not all, of those on display in various locations. Hope you have a good experience with yours. They sure look like neat rigs. I did snag a few copies of OJ at the back of Scott's rig in the Overland...
Wow - times have changed! I picked up one of the price sheets at Overland Expo 2? years ago and it said $37-38K at that time. Dad paid $600 for ours 40 years ago :).

What an absolute gem. I have many fond memories of sleeping in our family's Alaskan camper in the '80s in our '77 Ford SuperCab. There's something appealing about the IDI diesels as well - I'm a 7.3 Powerstroke owner but also love the earlier rigs.

I got to my hotel late last Friday night and when I pulled in, I spotted a familiar rig (and tow rig) across the parking lot. Checked it out a bit more in the morning - I imagine I could spend quite a bit of time going over this thing.
