what, you've never blown glass out in the field before? haha. good call on the topspin, i don't know what the price differences are, but i have been eyeing the h002427. the air filter i'm looking to use has an inlet with a 4.5" diameter.
so are you saying that the 200-450 cfm topspin...
good advice, thanks for chiming in. it's a 9" diameter filter, about 20 lbs. i like the idea of adding a plate. the simpler the better. another issue i have to tend to is getting a topspin or full view precleaner that is a smaller diameter than the raincap i currently have. i will have an issue...
i have a link to donaldson's website:
https://dynamic.donaldson.com/webc/WebStore/search/item_detail.html?section=10089&item=116324
it's definitely a highflow filter.
it's too bad the design of the air filter is structured the way it is. aesthetically i would love it to look that way. it's not an inline filter though. you have the precleaner feeding into the outlet of the filter, it's from that end that i need to feed into the carb.
i picked it up off ebay for $18, filter included. it's a medium duty air filter, suitable more for tractors, heavy equipment, mining trucks. the only thing that makes these filters specific is the cfm rating. donaldson covers the whole range of cfm that any vehicle would require. few rubber...
for anybody who's mounted a donaldson air filter on their fender, wondering if any support was needed from underneath? the unit i purchased turns out to be pretty heavy, and i'd hate to see what it could do to the cruiser's fender on some washboard backroads.
i'm planning on mounting the filter...

i'm sorry, what problem? i looked up the metadata and it looks as though i did have the white balance and iso on auto. shooting mode-indoor, my colors-off, color space-sRGB
yes! i've already programmed that spare button. for once, a manual was actually very interesting to read. there was a lot of material that was covered that i doubt i would have discovered on my own. i've been avoiding the auto mode to get used to using the settings, i'm still amateur and...
sorry bout the 'huge' photos. i'm running 1280x1024 at work and at home. yes i use photoshop. sparingly. i have a few actions that i've recorded to do repetitive tasks for groups of photos. i don't use photoshop for illusions-capabilities and filters though, at least not with the photos i've...
i jumped into my cruiser purchase without knowing mechanics past basic maintenance. i've learned things as problems have come up, things have yet to get overwhelming. the thing that inspired me to buy my fj40 was the fact that it was COMPLETE, and the previous owner worked on cruisers for a...
two very clean vehicles. the toyota does look a little smallish. it's all the parts underneath the body that count
:Mechanic:
i've never driven a land rover before, would love to experience what it's like behind that one though.
i've been forcing myself to learn the ins and outs of the camera just so i can take raw photos (seems like you have to throw all the auto stuff out the window to use raw). i have no experience with any other digital camera, but some of the features the g9 have blow me away. i love pulling up the...
