Its fiberglass. I wouldn't drill any holes in it. It has "rain gutters" that you can get a thule to attatch to, but I wouldn't put much more than a couple hundred lbs on it.

Its a bit of tradition for me to pre make breakfast borritos (pots obrien/eggs/basque chorizo/cheese) and then wrap in parchment paper then tin foil, and save for the last breakfast of the trip.

Was 400#'s a typo? I submit if you don't have 400 lbs of gear, you don't need a trailer. Let alone having a loaded trailer only weigh that much. Get a hitch rack.
Its funny that you posted this...someone over on mud just expressed the exact opposite concern. That it is rear heavy.
All I can say is that it will have very much to do with loading, and something I plan on keeping in mind loading for each trip.
