    richard310's 04 Xterra

Went out with AAV a few weeks back to Anza Borrego and Sheep's Canyon for a 2-nighter DRV Recon trip. I'll let the images speak for themselves :) Site recon for DRV: Fish Creek and Sheep's Canyon A nice 3'-4' rattler

    richard310's 04 Xterra

Installed the Calmini Idler Arm Brace this afternoon. I also tried to isolate and fix the creaks. It's so annoyingly and extremely loud that it's driving me crazy. I regreased the UCA bushings, and tightened down both bolts but that didn't do anything... I hope this isn't a known problem...

    richard310's 04 Xterra

You know to be honest, I never measured the original height of the vehicle nor have I measured the current height... With my current setup: Front Ground to top of fender wheel cutout: 37" Middle of hub to top of fender wheel cutout: 22" Rear Ground to top of wheel fender cutout: 38" Middle...

    DMSKI's 2006 Xterra

There's no one great solution as sliders see a lot of debris and rock contact. Find the path of least resistance (and not too hard on the wallet).

"Lola" - WreckDiver1321's 2005 Frontier CC/SB Nismo Build and Adventure Thread

Being in this hobby and hating rattling items... First world problems. Frontier looks great with the topper, although I've always like the way pickups look with the bed racks and RTT mounted on them. I know storage and efficiency go down the toilet but they do look pretty spiffy. I'm with...

    richard310's 04 Xterra

Thanks Brian. Im really looking forward to using it in two weeks! I was able to pin point it be grabbing and shaking everything that moves down in the front end. It turns out it only creaks when pushing the tire laterally when parked. And what a nasty creak it is as it echoes quite loudly...

    richard310's 04 Xterra

Ever since I've installed the bilstein's, I've had nothing but great things to say about these shocks. I'm hoping these last the remaining life of my truck as I love the dampening.

    richard310's 04 Xterra

I installed the 0"-3" Bilstein HD4600's this past weekend. What a difference. No more topped out shocks and there's actually dampening going on. I also reinforced the rear bumper with some Grade 8.8 bolts. Tightened down my UCA's as one of the bolts had not been tightened down enough causing a...

    richard310's 04 Xterra

Rear Bilstein 4600 for 3" lift recieved yesterday from XterraPerformance to replace my rear shocks. No more bouncy bouncy from topped out OE height Bily's. These shocks are MUCH larger in diameter and should help with the dampening of my stiff rear leafs. Calmini Idler Arm Brace should be here...

There's no other feeling like just making a leap and taking that chance. I'm sure it'll workout great!

    richard310's 04 Xterra

After some odd driving habits from my last trip out, I decided to finally pull off the wheel and see what was going on. The steering wheel would pull right when the brakes were applied and then release and re-track once let off the brakes. That and also the alignment was pretty off. There was...

    richard310's 04 Xterra

I know one of them was off of Split Canyon, left turn along a railway. Then the others were through Coyote Canyon, east of Borrego Springs. It was near a flowering section with a lot of cool looking caterpillars at the trail head. That was my first time to Anza Borrego so I'm not familiar with...

    richard310's 04 Xterra

Thanks wreck. We amazingly had reception out there in the sand so my phone did some picture duty. I chose HREW due to not only cost, but usage. It's strong enough for what I see and do. A properly designed slider will do it's job whether it dents or bends.

    richard310's 04 Xterra

Congrats on the house! I'm definitely going to have to come up sometime this year to check the house and some trails out :) Time permitting of course. I'm pretty excited to get sliders. I've also go to order an Idler Arm Brace, and some steering/suspension upgrades. I've got some refreshing to...

What a shame to hear... The market is going in the other direction so it's expected.

    Xterra vs sand

I was in desert moon-dust this weekend; super fine powder and quite deep. I'm running the ST MAXX's on my Xterra (265/75-16) and with some coercing from the accelerator pedal, I was able to traverse the deep powder quite well in 4lo without airing down. The truck itself is quite capable and...

    richard310's 04 Xterra

I'll have to check my records but I think the dizzy was done when the plug wires were done. I will get on the fuel stuff next includes the sending unit and filter. Thanks for the advice. I'll be going with white knuckle sliders next week. I can't wait to finally get some step footing and a...
