Patrol (coil) vs. Land Cruiser HD (HZJ 79)

The H260 was available in markets like the Caribbean, South and Central America and Africa as well.

Patrol (coil) vs. Land Cruiser HD (HZJ 79)

I suspect that marketing has a lot to do with Toyotas' greater market share. They also seem to have the edge in luxury, which appeals more to the masses than off road ability. The 70 series would also have a higher gvw than a patrol because leaf springs carry more weight than coil. The coil...

Lights for dark rural winding country roads

I have read your comparison before. The Cibie are not readily available here but seem like a worthwhile investment if the difference is dramatic enough. I have found the Hellas to be difficult to aim properly as you have either a good low beam and so so high beam or vice versa. The width on low...

Lights for dark rural winding country roads

Fogs sound like a very good idea. Most of the later vehicles, that i see on that road always have on their fogs. Thanks for the suggestion HillbillyfromAL

    G Wagen ride height

Yes ScottReb, it really seems to be similar to a Defender in that respect. Any specs on the height. I remember the old Four Wheeler magazines used to carry the seat height as a spec in the Four Wheeler of the Year vehicles. Would be interesting.

Lights for dark rural winding country roads

Hi fellows, I am not sure if its the Hellas, but it seems like the headlights are not lighting up the corners like the headlights on my previous vehicle (an older version of the one i drive now). The road home has a lot of deep corners and its in a rural area, which means very few street lights...

    G Wagen ride height

Hi fellas, I have always love the G and when i did a stint in Haiti, there were quite a few of them on the road. The thing that i loved about (the V8) was the power and the sound of the engine. The other was the ride height. I used to be a regular passenger on a 100 series LC and the thing that...
