Gas spring upgrades are available from Ursa Minor. The J30 comes with 100lb (x2) springs by default. I plan to carry my 45lb kayak for much of the time this season, so I upgraded to the middle option: 120lb springs. At the upper end, they have 140lb springs available, which should help...

Do not recommend Goodyear Duratracs. It's a capable off-pavement tire, but it greatly contributes to NVH and is ill-mannered on-pavement. I was ecstatic to replace mine with the Cooper Discoverer AT3, which is a superb tire. Aside from the Coopers, BFGoodrich is my go-to for AT or MT.

Well... of sorts. A camper top for the Jeep. I love the James Baroud, but not so fond of the exo-rack over soft top configuration. So I ordered an Ursa Minor J30. Subsequently, the Miata is for sale too.
