Facebook buy's Instagram for $1 Billion

Not entirely on-topic, but Facebook allows pages, which often represent businesses, and allows individual users to participate on Facebook as that business identity. Although I'll agree there are probably circumstances where this user-model probably doesn't fit the bill. It'll be interesting to...

Forward Control Jeep (FC)-Scott Brady's Test Drive- A Great Read!!

This thread contains entirely too much awesomeness. And then I remember none of it is real... except for a concept. A CONCEPT. I'm going to shut down my computer now and drink away the pain of reality.

    Overland XJs Unite!

Count me in! It's not much more than what you see. Old Man Emu suspension, currently with 245/75R16C Goodyear Duratracs, and a fixed-yoke conversion. It hasn't changed in years. Just upkeep.

P.J., the custom Wrangler Rubicon expedition motorhome

The ol' (former) Earthroamer sure has come a long way in the past few years. I think what it needs next is some serious miles logged on the odometer. ;)

    EarthRoamer XV-JP "Northwest Edition"

To echo the sentiments of pretty much everyone in this thread... wow. What an amazing transformation, guys. Well done! Now I'm off to that other thread that Mike mentioned a few pages ago.

New Jeep Concept Vehicles at Easter Jeep Safari

Autoblog has more: http://www.autoblog.com/2012/03/27/jeep-drops-details-on-six-easter-jeep-safari-concepts/ I noticed this as well, and found it somewhat disappointing. While it's an impressive vehicle, and I AM in love, you can tell that they kept the re-engineering to a minimum, and it's...

Mac OSX Lion compatible topo software

You may be thinking of a different software. I've had MacGPS Pro for a few years, and have always used it to navigate in real-time with my 276C. I'm not particularly fond of the software, though. Just felt obligated to chime in. :)

    JKJenn's Expedition Build Thread

Killer bokeh on the bracket. Nailed the focus, didn't you? Now you're just showing off after the mundane cell phone pics. ;)

    Native Marvel 14.5 Tandem

Kurt, It's extremely stable. If you keep your center of gravity fairly low, you (a small person) can crawl around the cockpit with a decent amount of confidence. Leg room is ample for me, however I'm only 5'7". I don't sit in the front often, but I think this will be a non-issue for most...

Need backspacing guidance from the pro`s...

For a long time, I ran 32x11.50 on stock 15x7 w/ RE 4.5". It was very close. However, the only thing it really needed was a steering-stop adjustment. That tire is a little wide for my tastes nowadays, but I wouldn't hesitate to do it again.

XJ Suspension question for experienced overlanders

I highly recommend a fixed-yoke conversion with any amount of lift. Driveline vibrations may or may not be perceived with such a minimal ride height increase. However, this modification will help preserve driving-comfort, and minimize wear-and-tear by keeping your geometry in the green.

    disconnecting the Wrangler sway bar

This is so true! On any given off-road forum, there are countless questions about tire size and/or ride height increases. "Do I need such-and-such component?" "Will an oversize tire fit?" Many of the responses state that you don't need to change a certain component for such a minor change...
