    Full size rigs-Airing down

If you are running E rated tires they shouldn't be driven on the blacktop lower than 45 psi. The low pressure causes them to heat up and eventually come apart. Ive learned this lesson...........twice now:yikes: Both times it required body work. Airing them down doesn't help much BTW due to the...

Any recommendations for aftermarket truck seats

I have been going through my 2003 Chevy giving it a make over and I would like to get some new front seats. The truck has a 60 / 40 split front seat and I would like to get bucket seats and then add a lockable center storage box to replace the center console. I have been looking at Scheel-Mann...

    Air Bags

My 2 cents I went the air bag route a couple of times, I never liked the handling or ride of the truck with them. I had to pump them up quite a bit to level out the truck. On this truck I went to Deavers and for 480 dollars they re arced my springs and built them up from a 3/4 ton to a 1.5 ton...

Any running the new MotoZ Tractionator Adventure tires?

As far as tire life, My dirt rides are usually about 1000 miles. Most tires are half way done at 1000. If I was going on another big ride right away I would put new tires on. If not I find that the tires are good for several day rides with friends and I usually wait till the big rides to put new...

Any running the new MotoZ Tractionator Adventure tires?

MOTOZ Hey Greg, this is John, I bought your wifes Sherpa a few years ago. Anyways I am running the tractionator on my dirt rims on the DRZ 400. I like them as far as wear, stability, wet and dry traction. Ive ridden them in Baja, North Nevada and Moab and all over the golden state. Predictable...

    First time Mexico

Join Discover Baja, you can do the paperwork through them, buy insurance, order maps, etc. Ive been doing Baja for 40 years and Discover Baja is a good way to go for your first trip, 35 dollars a year or around that much. They know all the paperwork inside out.

    Chevy Silverado Dirtymax Build

Long lasting pads I have a 03 Dmax and at 140K miles my original pads still have 60-70% life left. I do a fair amount of towing, slide in camper crazy So Cal Frwy etc. The brakes seemed lacking last year but I did a flushing replaced the Master Cylinder and Hydro boost due to both...

Who drives their full size w/camper on sand

I just made a tire adapter for a 45 min scba bottle. Air to spare. The route through cocos is a good call. The buses and ag equipment by San Quitine is a bummer. Although a layover at El Jardin is nice. Matt, where are you headed?

    1994 Yamaha Serow XT225

What the previous replys stated is my advice as well. If you are going to ride a bike off road you should feel comfortable working on it doing basic field repairs. Fixing up an old bike is the best teacher. There is a website called adventure rider. Lots of info on xt225. Lots of help and riding...

    Feedback about new Outfitter construction

Hallmark is another brand to check out. I believe they are the brother of the guy who builds Outfitter. They are also using the new materials. My experience is that Hallmark communicates better if you call them. They will have someone for you to talk to and answer your questions. I own an...

    FRP repair

Would you mount the plate under the frp or on the exterior. I think that the cracks are due to flex in the cab over. Your right, in a perfect world this would never happen. The camper has some hard Baja miles on it and has held up pretty good.

Who drives their full size w/camper on sand

Drew Do you think it is bad to run 25 psi on a e rated tire when on sand 200 yards or so. Truck and camper are around 10k lbs when fully loaded. I have a fill station at work for scba bottles that will fill to 4500 psi. P.s. Are you willing to part with a scba bottle? We use them for pcp air...

Who drives their full size w/camper on sand

Thanks for the replies. I'm not running a winch at this time so I get out the old fashioned way.💪🏻. How are the 35 and 37" tires as far as drivability. I would need a lift and I thought raising my center of gravity might make the truck not handle like I want. I took my truck to...
