4x4 Box Truck Van build "Milkshake"

Any updates? Also, that's an interesting cut/trim to the rear to help departure angle

    1996 FZJ80 in CO - $13.2k, 37s, armored, geared, locked

Also, took a bunch of pics of the undercarriage, engine bay, and a shot of the locker switches. https://photos.app.goo.gl/BngFGQMj84Dqbgnu7 Rust is best summarized as some surface rust wherever a rock has contacted metal. Otherwise it's pretty clean.

    Traditional RV modified for Overlanding?

Supposedly there's a 19' Majestic w/ a 4x4 conversion for sale at the moment...it's a closed fb group so I'm trying to get in to see details. I really liked the idea of getting something with an interior ready to rock at the price range that you can find these things for, but as others have...

    1996 FZJ80 in CO - $13.2k, 37s, armored, geared, locked

Update, ordered bump stop extensions to address the rubbing. Assuming the weather pattern holds, should have those in next weekend.

Adding an intercooler to a 1995 7.3 Diesel Van!

Related question, does the 6.0 intercooler fit in the 08+ front clip for the 6.0 motors? Edit: dumb question, they come with one from the factory. Cooler boost is better boost.

    DIY Composite Flatbed Camper Build

Seriously impressive build. Since the thread jumped to a camper shell being completed by post #2, about how long did just the shell construction take? Also, I was looking through the pics and didn't quite see how it's attached to the frame - maybe I missed that, or how is that being done? Cheers

Not So Subtle E350 Shuttle - 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed

Nice fab work. That spindle + strut look rather familiar, those come from 4x4 labs?

Up for sale is our 1996 Toyota FZJ80 Land Cruiser. for $13,200 Just over 211k miles, maintenance records back to ~100k. This has been a well loved truck both by myself and the previous owner. Most recently is OEM belts, spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, distributor o-ring, and air filter, oil...

    Transit on Expo Trails?

Quadvan said they'd do pre owned units for the Transits. 4x4 Sprinter wasn't even an option on my radar. I like german cars, had a bunch (there is always at least 1 in the driveway), but I'm not taking one into the middle of nowhere. Also the price makes it a non starter. @Theshwed, I too...

Project Little Van - Daily Vanagon/Adventure Rig

FWIW I've gotten whole vanagon (stick shift mind you) transmissions through greyhound before. I think they have a 75lb limit. Otherwise Fastenal ships anything on a pallet between their stores pretty cheap.

    Transit on Expo Trails?

Related note: http://onthegowithmambo.com/day-2-the-mojave-road I moved from an FJC to the FZJ80 specifically for the solid front axle. Those pics are a reminder of why. That might answer my question for me.

    Transit on Expo Trails?

I was looking at extended vans, 05 and later, ideally v10 and ~100k miles with no rust. Factor in the price of a high top, and you're in striking distance if a transit with similar miles but already high top. As a reference on 4x4 conversion, quadvan said 13-14k about 3 weeks ago. Not far off...

    Transit on Expo Trails?

Been posting sporadically here lately, figured it was due to introduce myself. At the moment I have a 96 FZJ80 up on 37s with 4.88s and ARB lockers and an eTDI swapped 2wd high top Vanagon that I'm looking to condense into a single vehicle (both for sale if anyone's looking). I am leaning hard...

    E350 10ft Box Van

Chris, why are you holding out on me?? I'll shoot you an email. Yeah, 6.2 and 6 speed would be amazing but that's waaaaay out of the budget. Enjoy the rig and post up pics when you can!

Anyone running the "Decked" pull out drawer system in their van?

My in laws fit one into a Transit Connect. For the time it saved them from building a drawer system, they like it. They're also not cold weather campers so they're not worried about insulation. Kind of funny they specify for a 138" wheelbase - that's what every econoline has, EB or RB.
