Weld them like I did, Very sturdy. Cuts down on the parts as well, 6 pieces counting the burner.

Ended up making one this weekend. Instead of using conduit and wire. I just fabbed up a small bracket, and welded bolts onto some 16ga 3/4in tube (36in high because im 6'6). Sturdy, quick setup and breakdown. it seemed to cook well. (Excuse the pug butt in the photo)

Have you spent any time on the paint with a polisher and polish/compound to see if it gets the paint match a little closer? Might be worth it.
