I have a '63 SIIa 88. I have a small shop's worth of tools as well as recovery gear and extra fluids and first aid items in a military storage crate. Two actually; small one for everyday driving and a larger one for long trips. The mutt is sitting on the big one.
Here's another aspect...
A few years back, I read an article wherein Land Rover was said to be "racist" and perpetuating the "Colonial" idea. The article even quoted something from LR's heritage that was used in advertising - it said something like "in several parts of the world, the Land...
Don't buy it... it's that would be more of an RV. A RTT goes on TOP of the vehicle or trailer, not just "above the wheels". If that were the case, I could say the tub of my Rover is a RTT since it's above the wheels... ??
I know of someone getting ready to convert a 1951 LR SI to an EV, base cost is $40K. If they add all the other things he wants add - they aren't even close to original spec, such as power steering and AC - it will be closer to $70-$80K. Why ruin a classic....

There are several articles out there, and IIRC a Governmental investigation in re the Taliban's love of the Toyota.

For that money I would much rather have an actual, original Defender.

They also tend to hold their value and increase if it is decently maintained.
Parts are not...
Vintage-ish military bags make great storage containers and are fairly cheap. The last two pics are of Polish bread bags I got recently - 4 for $10, but shipping was $10. They don't look it, but they are very heavy duty and will work great for various items.
