French Press
If you can boil water, just use a french press...simple, cheap, pretty much failsafe. Well failsafe is not the right word since most of them are made of glass, but I've successfully used them for years.

I had a similar problem with mine early on, I sent the carb to Mike Smith at UNIPASER to have it rebuilt. It turned out to have a small crack in the bowl that led to flooding. Possibly from a backfire at some point in time or maybe some water got ino it that froze ad cracked the bowl.
