This could be a game changer for some, Ford Transit Trail coming to the US

I agree, I really like the look of the Sprinter. However, I have read several reviews that state the power is dismal at best. Let's hope the aftermarket segment is spurred into overdrive with the trail model coming out and more people opting for the Transit for the ease/price of replacement...

This could be a game changer for some, Ford Transit Trail coming to the US

If I get serious about ordering one, I am sure my fleet guy can accommodate. But, I'd rather wait a few years to see what the aftermarket does with it first. Ford is definitely playing catch up to the Sprinter in this regard.

This could be a game changer for some, Ford Transit Trail coming to the US

When I first called my buddy who is a fleet sales manager, he had never even heard of the trail model. Now he's heard the words, but not much info out to him yet. I'm just hoping the aftermarket finds a way to take a trail model and lift it even more without causing more problems than its worth.

Dirt Sunrise: Tim and Kelsey get lost...

They posted with a stiff upper lip but it must be heartbreaking. Hope things work out for Tim and Kelsey.

    Falken Tires

Love the Wildpeaks on my F150, I would buy them again.

    BFGoodrich KO3 coming soon!

Love my Falken AT/3W's in the snow and rain. Dirt and mud, average performance. Used to run BFG MT's and AT's almost exclusively but so many options out there now. I might give them a chance again depending on the reviews.

This could be a game changer for some, Ford Transit Trail coming to the US

Yep, tire size is the single most important aspect in gaining clearance. Unless Ford does something that ends up providing aftermarket companies with more options on adding larger tires, not much improvement I suppose.

This could be a game changer for some, Ford Transit Trail coming to the US

Many of the articles I read stated that a two inch lift would be standard for the trail package. If this turns out to be true, it would be significant. I would presume that the existing aftermarket lifts would be modified to add two more inches for a total of four inches. That would provide...

This could be a game changer for some, Ford Transit Trail coming to the US

We are fortunate to be on the X plan and a friend of mine is a fleet sales manager. But I agree that I won't be paying any type of markup anywhere. If I have to wait until the chip situation resolves itself, so be it. I won't be in the market for a new Ford for at least two years anyway.

This could be a game changer for some, Ford Transit Trail coming to the US

Looks like the full-size Transit is doing quite well so I guess it makes sense to weed out the non-sellers...

Maybe the Trail version will be offered across the Transit line....

This could be a game changer for some, Ford Transit Trail coming to the US

Just saw this news, despite it being out for a while I guess, and certainly in Europe. Ford Transit Trail model now coming to the US. Stock with two additional inches of lift with a few other more off road goodies thrown in. Two inches, plus probably two more from aftermarket companies could...

Out of curiosity, why the Summit over the Atlas? I currently have a CVT Mt. Hood on my F150. Granted, it isn't a popup that allows for standing in the bed, but I do find the slant design to be a bit limiting for space. Hence my interest in the Atlas. I am also interested to know if the...

Looking forward to reading more about your experience. I am leaning towards an AT Atlas when I finally move on from my 07 F150 w/ a CVT RTT on the shell in a year or two. The Atlas is high on my list to go on either an F250 or the new Ranger.

    The Status of Overlanding Today

Summed up my thoughts exactly. I am not sure why there is such a high level of intolerance for variety here. To me "overlanding" is nothing more than driving and camping over land, however you choose to do it, period. I started with camping on a tarp with a sleeping bag and whatever I could...

Rear Bumper w/ Swingout Tire Carrier for F150... Why doesn't this exist!?!?

I have an Expedition One front bumper on my F150 and the quality is excellent. I went to their factory to pick it up and was impressed with what I saw. I have had no issues with it on my rig. If I pursue the F250 Tremor in a couple of years, I will potentially be going with their front and...

Replacement bumpers for 2022 Tremor? Sensor friendly?

I do not have it on my F150, it is too old. But the Expedition One website states the bumpers accommodate cameras and other electronics. It was my experience with them that they are able to make modifications to their bumpers to handle different needs.

Replacement bumpers for 2022 Tremor? Sensor friendly?

I have an Expedition One bumper on my F-150 and am very pleased with it. I drove to their factory where they gave me a tour when I picked the bumper up to take home. https://www.exp-one.com/ https://www.expeditiononestore.com/F250350-2017_c_133.html

Permanently mount hard shell RTT in the Southwestern US, issues with UV?

I added bungie cords front to back and side to side and driving with it locally isn't a problem. But I typically take the cover off on long trips just to keep the wear down on the cover.
