I have an Expedition One front bumper on my 07 F150 and love it. I drove to their shop in Utah and picked it up. They gave me a tour of the place and I was impressed with what they were doing. I installed it myself along with a Warn Zeon winch. They seem to be keeping up with new vehicles...
Just a caution, I used to have one on a '90 Bronco I owned some years ago. It had clamps that went around the axle tubes but nothing up towards the front. While wheeling, I caught it on something and it twisted the entire skid plate rotating the rear bolts on the axle putting it down and back...
Good stuff. I think I'll bring a backpack to wear around the vendor area. A drink inside and space for purchases. Fortunately, I am camping relatively close to the vendor area so I can trek back to the rig if needed. How about checking in for camping? It opens on Thursday at 11. Is there...
Excellent advice. I am coming solo with a RTT on top of my F150. I plan on bringing a small portable shower tent. Can you slide on over to the military campground and pay for a shower? I had assumed that upon checking into the campground they would put the large RV's in one area, the vehicle...
Did a search on Overland Expo West in the forums and I did see another thread posted back in 2019 asking this same question. I read the great replies but hoping perhaps some folks can chime in on their more recent experiences last year. I purchased the VIP Weekend Pass with camping so I will...
Update on my Mt. Hood. Fabricated my own rack using a combination of Sherpa, Prinsu, Thule, 8020.net, and Lowes products to build my own setup. Mounted the Mt. Hood on top and have added several items to it as I have gone along to include two extra latches, extra handles and some rings for...
I have a CVT Mt. Hood RTT, which is aluminum, but I also permanently mounted it on my SnugTop shell. I did not want the sun beating down on my RTT when it is parked in the driveway in NorCal. I purchased a custom made cover from this company: https://www.coversandall.com/
I used the...
I take it you went with the double rail on the bottom? Since I have a SnugTop shell on my F150 with plenty of storage down below, I went with the single rail.
What was the result on this? I also looked hard at the Roofnest Falcon but ultimately bought a nearly identical product in the CVT Mt. Hood. Preferred the color, liked the latches better, and got a good deal. I am still waiting on mounts for my truck shell then I will write my own review...
Old post I know but stumbled on it while perusing the RTT posts.
Went back and forth on the CVT Mt. Hood versus the Roofnest Falcon. In the end, went CVT. The reasons were; first I preferred the color choices on the CVT. Kind of trivial I know but my F150 Super Crew is all black and white...
