Thanks! I've taken a break from working on the truck to focus on a few other things. However, I've got lots more planned, so stay tuned. Meanwhile, I'm heading out to the desert this weekend for more trails and photography. Whoo-hoo!!!! :safari-rig:

    AT Tacoma Habitat: Official Thread

Well done, Mario! I remember talking to you over a year ago regarding this product. I only wish it came out earlier as I had expected. I didn't want to wait, so I ended up buying a used Flippac. I especially like the photo of the photographer standing on top. I'm glad you incorporated that...

Hi Dave, Thanks for the compliments. The decision of long bed vs short bed is constantly debated. What it comes down to is your preferences. I seriously wanted a long bed, so the short bed wasn't an option. Therefore, the real question for me was whether I wanted a double cab or access cab. If...

Thank you. I aim to please. :sombrero: The Mojave Road is fantastic. I highly recommend it. Just make sure you give yourself plenty of time. It's not something to rush if you really want to enjoy and explore the area. And speaking of jealousy. I'd love to explore the trails of Montana. I...

Glad I could help. As I pointed out, I use the RAM mount on the grab handle for the Delorme inReach Explorer. The works in conjunction with an iPad mounted to the center console for my navigation. Works pretty good and happy with the setup. Just need to download and cache the maps beforehand.

The Icon AAL is great. However, as soon as I put on the shell, I saw and felt its limitations. They're just not designed to handle the heavy load. But I knew this going in. So my long term goal is to replace the rear leafs with custom leaf packs. I'm just waiting until I do some more fabrication...

    mouse007's build (2014 DCSB 4x4 Taco)

I didn't change my pre-load at all. Once I put the 700lb springs on, my ride height was perfect. Yes, I set the CDC to "S" for everday driving. Offroad, I'm typically around 4-5.

Here's a couple more pics from the Mojave. Lava Tubes View from the Lava Tubes. And for the photo geeks out there, this image was shot with 12 vertical frames using a 70-200mm lens at 200mm. It was stitched together using PTGui and processed in Photoshop. At a native resolution without any...

Thanks! It's all in the details. And like you, I can't wait to see what I do with the Flippac as well. Thank you! It's an awesome area and great way to see it.

This is the last high point at the end of Afton Canyon before going back down into the wash to follow the Mojave River. I saw this hill and was mesmerized. The light was looking like it had the potential to be killer at sunset. But after an hour of waiting, I could see that it wasn't going to...

Although I bypassed Soda Lake, I really wanted to get to Traveler's Monument. So I decided to test the mud. I figured that if I went slow, I'd notice if I'd be getting in trouble before it happened. I made it. I placed a rock on the pile and soaked in the views. I contemplated going all the...

I awoke the following morning to a subtle, but interesting sunrise. This cloud formation caught my eye. After breakfast, I continued around Little Cowhole mountain. Climbing up the hillside a bit offered this fantastic view. As I neared the west end of Little Cowhole Mountain, I wormed my...

Near the Lava Tubes, there's great views of cinder cones. On the fourth night, I camped near some sand dunes up against Little Cowhole Mountain. This was a rarely used campsite, so I had great seclusion. I spent the afternoon photographing around camp. The mountain off in the distance is...

This is one of two penny trees on the Mojave Road. I think this is the main one that has been there the longest. While hanging out near the penny tree, a coyote casually walked up to say hello. I've mentioned the watering hole a couple times already. This really was a great location. Early...

Here's several more pics from my Mojave Road trip. Here's another shot from the first night on the Colorado River. The is the view from the start of the Mojave Road. Adventure awaits. This is the view from Fort Piute back down to the Mojave Road, which you can see faintly on the left-hand...
