yup, that's what the rivets do.
Having said that. When I bought my truck it had 10mm plates full chassis length on the outside of each chassis rail, bolted. Previous owner's previous truck had broken a chassis and he didn't want a repeat. I removed the plates (I needed to keep final weight below...
just guessing - the engine is possibly 4M42, twin camshaft, with VP44 pump.
pump same as Steve's engine. Code 23 on engine ECU was pump timing control valve.
Question was whether pump reconditioned by a general diesel shop or by Bosch? Not whether it was reconditioned. Did reconditioner know...
if I've read correctly the fuel pump has been rebuilt by a diesel shop rather than Bosch. There's possibly a microprocessor in the fuel pump that can throw errors to the vehicle ECU (the source of 23 in Steve's case). I would have the pump checked by Bosch. Just guessing as I have no idea which...
welcome Pete. Not much help to you. Behind the scenes solving Steve's problem through email was a bit of a saga as various avenues were explored with much miscommunication due to email. Required a lot of disciplined methodical problem solving and meticulous description of problem and each step...
thought I recognised it ..... the second pic in Mog's post (thanks) is of a scratch build from flat panels, not a converted cargo box. Here's the build page.

Panel dimensions provided to panel manufacturer, cut to size (and...
ta, let me know how it goes please - it does look very promising ..... somewhere along a track recently my rear diff breather "fell off". I'm not in a hurry - got diverted into house painting during lock down and there's a lot of painting.
something like this could probably be modified - a tyre valve stem that can be installed from outside, same principle as the blind tank connection but smaller diameter.

just some idle thoughts .... its about 12 years since I went through my design exercise, so had to resurrect it from memory and technology has improved/changed. One of my constraints was the cost of solar panels so I built my vacuum insulated fridge. Another was inefficiency of aircon (COP has...
this is a half inch blind tank fitting, I wonder if there is something the right size for the diff.
smallest size from this manufacturer seems to be 7/16" with 3/8" npt thread. I don't know the hole size in the diff.
it wouldn't be overly challenging to make similar / smaller.
in Aus its more likely to have been used for fertiliser or other spraying than snow plough. But same clues about corrosion.
sometimes last bit of chassis cut off behind spring hangers to allow for spray tank fitting.
Including the big junction box near front towards left under the cab, all...
maybe check out shipping availability (ro-ro, container, etc) and security.
maybe check out time for diesel to establish flame on startup.
I found it useful to have support from the sub-frame to the edges of the house floor. Depends what the floor is made of.
20mm polyurethane foam fibreglass...
bed-lift for re-usable space? Never know when visitors may arrive. Just a different way of balancing the compromises while you are still at design stage. The curtains are in front of large rear facing non-openable (dust) window.
I tend to understate.
I had another design criteria /...
welcome.
in general, the older the vehicle the less available are upgrades.
trivial example, the older vehicles have 5-stud wheels, newer 6-stud, which reduces the options for single rear wheels. Check the availability of parabolics for the specific model before buying it.
I have no idea but...
if I'm not mistaken the door to the rear may be better on the left hand (kerb) side in Aus - possibly a legal requirement.
the energy density of sunamp may be lower than Li.
calorifier can be diesel heater, engine heat, and excess solar electric.
depends on purpose how much water to carry and...
at third attempt for shock absorbers with parabolics I found Koni (another iteration of ATW advice) on FG649 with soft bump and adjustable rebound gave a result similar to your description. Including tyre pressure effect and normal dirt roads more comfortable than seal.
