Yes, I used the original plate that detaches from the trailer as a guide. I just put it on top of the new plate and drilled in the holes.
Yeah I really like it in black.
Ark 750 installed. The top plastic cap came broken, they’ll send me a replacement in 4 months when they have loose black parts in stock. They said the black edition is fairly new and they don’t have spare parts available yet.
It'll end up being between $850-1k each . I had to do several back and forths with their engineering team and each time costed me money. At the end I'll have the blueprints so anyone who wants to have one pm me and you can contact them with the blueprints and you'll save some bucks...
Looks great! At a DMV in California I had a hiccup because my Scout came without the VIN. So Smittybilt sent me a new number and sticker so second time at the DMV was a breeze. They didn't even check if the lights were working.
I see the bar where you attach the leveler jack at the back seems...
I've reached out to Campa USA to see if they sell the kitchen cabinet as a standalone. Not sure if they're still in business. I'm trying to find a box Patriot Camper style to put on the fenders. The HF one is great, but I want one that the lid opens down and the latches are on the outside so...
I just tried and also fastened the screws, a little improvement but it still bends down a little bit. Tomorrow I'll call SB and see what suggestion they have.
Thanks!
Thanks guys, the hinges seem to be all fine. I'll contact Smittybilt and see if they have any suggestion. I know it's happening to other people, I'll report back!
You can see in the picture my door tilts down. There's a post earlier also of someone else having the same problem, I thought it was a problem with all Scouts.
These are the ones. I see online they have many more sizes than in the store. I think I got 2 squares and 1 wide - looking at it the medium is the same as the wide but taller, it'd probably fill the extra dead space on top...
Second time out with the Scout! I replaced the sink with a collapsible one, put a collapsible bucket below it to catch the dirty water. I hanged it using 2 heavy duty shower curtain rings. Really easy to set up and pack up.
I also used mmrocek's idea of a piece of wood bolted to the rings...
I’m deciding what size battery and where I’ll mount it, meanwhile I’ll use a manual pump. I don’t plan on running too many lights, but I’m considering moving the fridge from the jeep to the trailer (or adding one to the trailer). I also play with my HF radios when out and I’m wondering whether I...
I’m working on a very similar project with Scepter cans. I just received this pump:

I want to put together a counter over the fender and make a hole to it...
