Lets see some full size pictures...

Still stock. Very mild tune using a Hypertech Max Energy (mainly needed it to correct the speedo after the tire growth). We're looking for long-term dependability.

Lets see some full size pictures...

Ok, guess it's time for me to chime in with our full-size Dodge Ram 3500. 2007 5.9L CTD, 6-spd manual, 4WD, 1-ton. Flatbed and camper on order, but the truck build continues. TRBeadlock wheels to convert it from a dually to SRW, Cooper Discoverer STT Pro's (295/65-20), Titan 60-gal tank, Tyger...

Driven To Wander - Vancouver to Patagonia

Ah yes, I should have thought about that. We had a stereo similar to yours installed and I had them do Dynamat in the four doors. I'm pondering removing the larger of the two seats in the back to make a platform for our ARB fridge (keeping the other for grandchild, etc.) so I might look to do...

Driven To Wander - Vancouver to Patagonia

Cool, two updates for the price of one! :) One more benefit to your writing is that readers like us get to follow along and learn from your experiences (both good and not-as-good). Okan's early blogging about the truck build was very helpful to me for ideas on ours. And now I'm going to check...

Kakadu BushRanger Camper Tent Trailer spotted on Craigslist in Vancouver BC.

Spied a used Kakadu Camping BushRanger camper tent trailer on Craigslist today. We used to own a similar unit, though this looks like it has the upgraded off-road trailer. Pricing is in Canadian dollars, even more attractive in U.S. dollars. I'm sure Matt at Kakadu could advise on questions...

Spotted this setup for mounting a DeLorme unit on a Tacoma pillar that I thought looked pretty good. Might give you some ideas. I'll likely do a similar setup in my Dodge. LINKAGE

Driven To Wander - Vancouver to Patagonia

Excellent writeup on the ferry process and the 1-ton issue (and thanks for the Instagram note). As I said, we'll likely explore Baja then drive to the mainland. Hopefully the other crossings are a bit more lenient, as we will weigh even more than you.

Wondered if we'd see this posted now that spring has sprung. Ours is on order for delivery later this year. Working on the truck build now ('07 Ram longbed). Good luck with your sale.

so basically... 3/4 ton/1 ton heavier camper

You might want to check out my friend's, The Landmarks, blog. They're doing the exact same thing, home-schooling junior while traveling full-time in their 1-ton Dodge Ram dually camper. He did end up with airbags and is very happy with them after a bit of tweaking with the pressure...

Suspension Help for RAM 3500 - Remote reservoir or simple HD shocks

So do we, going on a 2007 Ram 3500 5.9L, longbed dually being converted to SRW (tomorrow in fact). We'll be pushing the max GVWR. We'll be doing Marc's suggested Icon front springs as well as Icon reservoir shocks all around. We'll also be rebuilding the front end with the 2008 components...

Marc will have one of the large boxes on a former Mercedes firetruck at Overland Expo. There's some pics of it on his Instgram page: https://www.instagram.com/p/BPLB3AdBIM-/
