We're back from BC after a great trip and some tire issues. Blew another MPT-81 and had a new sent from Expedition Imports to the Alaskan factory in Washington State. The new MPT's have a harder rubber compound and would not mount on the wheel despite pulling every trick possible at a truck...

The only time I have had bugs in my Alaskan is when I left the back door open. I had the exact same problem with my cabover Alaskan, it has a door too. I had a local guy make a collapsible bug screen to put in the top door section and have been happy with it. IMHO, if you want to keep bugs...
A couple sets of bearings replaced by the original dealer so far. They fought that one tooth and nail while it was under warranty, since then no issues yet.
