Just had a great trip with this rig. Kept the RTT on the Jeep and hauled kayaks on the trailer rack.
About to start a new build- make this killer trailer yours for $12k.
Looks great! So ready to hit the road again. You do camp breakfast right!
I have my XV3 listed for sale, since this year we are planning a motorcycle trip instead of the Jeep.
The XV-3 is the ultimate compact, fully-featured off-road trailer. It’s the perfect choice for any tow rig, including Jeeps and lighter SUVs.
This thing is awesome, straight from factory, and then I radically upgraded electrical, water, and storage systems for a full off-grid, off-road capable...
Hey there- I have a 2021 XV3 loaded with just about every option from Schutt plus additions/ upgrades:
- I replaced the Schutt battery management system with a RedArc Redvision system
-Added Anderson plugs for solar connectivity
-Added 12v outlets on outside of galley box for convenience...
I think we are largely seeing the unprecedented demand created by 7-day weekends and work-from-home for everybody retreat. I own a small oyster bar in a seasonal beach town that became less seasonal for two years, every house sold to people fleeing the plague. People thought this climb would...
Saw this in my facebook feed today- seems like it could be a very cool platform to build out. Nice generator install, looks like some serious expense into power distribution, low miles on the diesel.
From the posting:
"Custom Van extremely low use 7.3 Diesel Bullet Proof Engine with 19560...
Wrestled the unit out without having to remove the galley box as Schutt suggested. After careful consideration I have decided to cut out the whole system, simplify the plumbing to be a cold-water only feed to the faucet with a quick disconnect for serviceability and winterization. I spent the...
Starting in on it tomorrow, unless it is freezing cold! Had a hell of a time getting a wrench to those fittings. Schutt said I might have to take the whole galley slide out! I may have to cut the pex lines and replace! I am also adding a blow-out fitting to let me blast air through the...
Had a great conversation with the guys at Schutt today re: the heater and service-ability. Gave some good advice and also admitted to it being near impossible to remove the unit without taking out the whole galley slide.
I can't get a wrench where it needs to go, due to space constraints. May...
Thanks for your notes. I think I am going to radically simplify the plumbing, eliminate a bunch of moving hoses and add a bypass for the heater. I agree- usually I frankly have the heater off, fill a pot, etc. I don't like that the heater must be functional in order to move water, so I think...
Anyone here running the gelley/hot water system? On our XV3 it has been nothing but $#^$ trouble. Today, in prep for a trip I was running system tests and water began spraying everywhere from the propane heater. Clearly it isn't a unit solid enough for rugged use. The aluminum tubes feeding...
I went with a Teraflex ST2 2.5"lift with Falcon 3.3 adjustable shocks. The on-road ride is great, the adjustable shocks are really the highlight for me- I can stiffen up the rears when towing, or loosen everything up/air down for smooth rides on less than smooth terrain. Goals were to be able...
