It gets hot in Moab. Not Sonoran Desert hot, but hot enough to make you want to escape the heat. Luckily, we can drive 49 minutes and go from 103 degrees at 4,000' to 79 degrees in an alpine meadow at 10,700'. We did just that on Saturday and it was glorious. Campfires are a no-go due to the...
There really isn't anything specific. We like the camper a lot. We truly do. But, FWC uses the same basic technologies they've used for decades and they are not an innovative company (anymore). So many of these newer companies are really thinking outside of the box, introducing new technologies...
Very interesting. The guy at my tire shop swore it wouldn't fit and he used to run chase trucks in baja, so I assumed he knew what he was talking about. I'll have to see if it'll fit. Man, that would be awesome.
It's been a busy spring and I started a new job a couple months ago at which I travel almost weekly, so that's left precious little time for adventure and exploration. Things are starting to stabilize a bit now and we enjoyed a weekend of camping and riding in one of our favorite areas near...
Build that sucker up! We're just getting into it and have enjoyed the 1/24 scale but we both want to get 1/10 trucks now. Been looking at them and can't decide if we want rock crawler style rigs or the more scale "overland" style trucks like the Axial Gladiator or the Traxxas Bronco. Hmmm...
It's been a long winter without much in the way of adventures and I've got a new job that requires weekly travel so unfortunately, I won't be using the Funhawg as much as I'd hoped but we'll still get out for some fun weekend adventures. A couple weeks ago my son and I made a hasty run out to...
I can't answer from a technical perspective but I can tell you that I'm running 37" D rated Toyo Open Country R/T's on 17" Method's on my 2021 F250 with a flatbed and FWC Hawk UTE. I've got around 17,000 miles on this setup and have had zero issues. Our total loaded weight is around 11,000 lbs...

I had the crew at Boulder Vehicle Outfitters do the Propex heater install. I'd have to take off the front or rear panel to take photos and unless I need to remove those panels, I'm not keen on doing so. Matt at BVO told me they had to fab up a couple mounts, though. The unit did mount in the...
Good point. I did, because I knew we'd be charging camper batteries while driving and that I'd be installing a bunch of aftermarket parts that would require extra power. And, it was super affordable so really no reason not to add it.
Hey folks! Earlier this year I bought a 2021 F250 Tremor on which to install a Norweld tray and FWC Hawk UTE. I did so knowing that I would be replacing the factory suspension, wheels and tires. I'm often asked why I bought a Tremor only to replace those items. Since it's such a common question...
I got mine earlier this year so I assume the price has increased because of the increase in cost of materials. Regardless, this is my second set of Alcan springs. Both have been top notch and their service is outstanding.
