Hard to tell from the photo, but it looks like you possibly could fit a larger bike inboard, if you didn't mind the extra step of straightening the handlebars (to run parallel to the bike) by loosening the two allen bolts on the bicycle stem.

Are you comparing a CC and a pickup with the same wheelbase? Sorry for the noob question, but why would the CC have a tighter turning radius in this case?
Nice rig and nice utilitarian setup. The CCV top is killer. Preferable to the SMB top, in my opinion. For example, it raises higher so you can actually sit upright in the penthouse.
