    Light offroad Casita

Ok, now you're talking. I have been planning/dreaming of a LOT of crossover from the marine industry to the Casita. Not sure if it's the fiberglass that reminds me of my boats or what. I can't let all my ideas out yet. Would prefer to post pics of my completed mods. Anything new Wesel? I never...

    15 x 8 "Outlaw" style wheels (set of 4)

Man, I want them for a camper trailer project. Can't get my head around what shipping would be. Any idea to 75703?

I'll tank the tank and the exterior fill thingy if they are still around. As long as you are you shipping.?. I'm in East Texas and PU is not possible. Any idea on shipping amount to 75703? How do I pay you?

Another question for you. Hope you don't mind. Part of the problem going first I guess. If you are sick of it, just let me know. Does the swing out rear tire of your 100 clear the trailer tongue? I'm afraid one like on my Runner won't clear. Another reason for a custom extended tongue.

OK, let me clarify a little. My wife's Schnauzer found her spot under the rear bed right away and like my wife, was out. My Lab however, was on guard all night, with the windows and the door open (just the screeend closed). He has to sleep in the hallway based on size, so he was a bit restless...

CL Find: '81 Toyota Trekker. THis thin is cool.

I had one back in the day. Rolled it like a dummy. Would LOVE to find another white one in decent shape. I love my Runner, but they are VERY cool. Or were back then anyway. I never took the top off of mine. Not sure the resealing would be as reliable as it is on my Runner. If someone her ecan...

Wesel, Very very cool. Glad you finally got it out in the dirt. Love the pics of the whole rig. Similar to what I want my 100 to end up like. I'm hoping to tow mine with my 4Runner too for more local trips. We camped in ours in the backyard last weekend just to get a taste for it. We dig it...

I haven't ruled out leaf springs and shocks. That would actually be my preference. Just more fab work required. I have some left over springs and shackles. Not above reusing parts. Just no time for any of it.

    Casita or Burro trailer build.

Aids10, where's your beach pic from? That's really what I plan do to with mine most, tow it out on the beach. I'm hoping to take it down to North Padre Island, down into the 4wd access only area with softer sand. I'll send you a PM so as not to highjack this thread.

My only thought on moving the axle frontwards (or rearwards) when I weld in the new one was to account for the articulation of the swing arm and the clearance for the tire in the wheelwell. Looking at the Dexter specs, the stock 10 degree up axle rotates towards the front from 5.91 (@ No Load)...

    Light offroad Casita

yes, Yes, YES !!!That is exactly what I've got in my head. And I can't get it out! I think it would be so cool. "Pcampbell" (posted in this thread earlier) and I have been mind-engineering this for months. No way around material costs nowadays, but we have a buddy with a metal fab business...

    Light offroad Casita

Isolating body stress issues is one of the reasons I had designed a whole new chassis to use for mine. Replacing the axle like Wesel did appears to be easy and affordable, and may be what reality dictates, but it doesn't really do a lot to fortify the whole structure. If you build a whole new...

    Going in Deep..

Are you kidding me?????? You are limited to 55 mph when towing in CA? Is that any trailer, any size, any tow vehicle? I don't understand how you people live out there.

Man, you beat me. AWESOME!!!! Pcampbell (above) and I have been mulling this type of build over for months. Wesel, you and I emailed the other day about this idea. I've got a deal pending on a 1997 17' Casita. It has the AC up, which wasn't my 1st choice but I agree with you about light duty...

FS: Kaymar Bumper with Dual Swingout for 80 Series in So. California

I thought about buying it, and modding it to work on my 100. I REALLY like the bumper, and the 80 it's coming off. Good luck.

    1998 supercharged 4runner

Hey man, Maybe I missed it, but what's up? I'm kind of surprised you're selling. Are you building something else? Do tell... Unless you're keeping it a surprise. I sent you an unrelated PM on Mud the other day. Check it out when you get a chance. No big hurry, I'm just collecting info for a...

Hey, I'm contemplating putting some ARB bumpers on my 100. I imagine you can get them for me. Any idea what they woud run me? I know they are not cheap. I would be looking for the combo bar/bull bar (NOT the Sahara Bar w/ chrome top tube) and the rear w/ rcver tube and spare swing out. Any idea...
