    Mortonm's 2001 Xterra Build

Thank you for the kind words! I still have it and drive it daily, I just have been more focused on canoe trips the last year or so, the Xterra hasn't gotten hardly any dirt time

    Any Fjällräven fans on here?

I would consider it slim through the waist down to above the knees. I have the kebs, Ovik and Vidda pro trousers all in the same size and the Vidda pro fit the tighest/slimmest. They are also the newest, and the keys have a lot of stretch material. They fit the waist pretty true to size in my...

Danner Mountain Light II - An on-going review

Always lots of different opinions on stuff like this. He may be right, but most boot companies recommend oiling your boots to keep the leather from cracking and drying it. I guess we will have to wait and see once I need a resole, but I had no issues with my Red Wings despite oiling them every...

how do you transport it in the truck? I just rescued a pelican 1400 case that was going to get tossed at work, I will order a new foam system and that should keep it pretty safe, other than while using it

    Mortonm's 2001 Xterra Build

Just ordered new tires for the Xterra I was able to find 3 leftover BFG AT KO to match the full-size spare I have that was never used. I ended up getting 70,000 miles (110,000+km) on them. Never had an issue with then anywhere I have taken then so with already one to the set it was a no brainer.

Danner Mountain Light II - An on-going review

Not very much other than the different leather and laces. I believe the Mountain Light II are cut slightly differently. Maybe the Mountain Light I doesn't have the goretex liner either ?

    Mortonm's 2001 Xterra Build

Lots to do out this way! It is, although it turns out the passenger exhaust manifold completely broke off, so its getting fixed as we speak.

    Mortonm's 2001 Xterra Build

I didnt get that many pictures, issues with the camera and it was super wet all day friday. Had a great time, meeting new and old friends. Only issue with the Xterra was the exhaust completely separated at the passenger header, so I had to drive my tractor home 8 hours from Vermont. It is in...

Danner Mountain Light II - An on-going review

No doubt, best way to break them in is to use them. I had them on most of this weekend at the Vermont Overland Rally, kept my feet warm and dry despite a lot of rain Friday and cool weather at night
