You are really better off getting the smallest size wheel you can fit. With a smaller wheel , you get more sidewall and that will provide a better ride aired down and protection against sidewall punctures.

Sounds like the max traxs were spit out by spinning tires . Spinning the tires on the max traxs is not how to get traction. Could be a high center situation. A simple solution is to air down the tires to get better traction on the mats.

If your tow vehicle has the same bolt pattern and fit the trailer then you can just go with the vehicle spare if you are comfortable with one spare tire. The $875.00 cost included the spare tire and wheel. I don't know ,but the weight of the spare might be needed to keep the trailer stable...
