Yes the original Darche awning. . You should not have an issue mounting it on your 4Runner. While the awning cover is small, I give kudos for them making the side wall bags oversized to make stowing the walls an easy task.

Weather called for occasional showers. Been pouring rain now for a couple of hours. We are able to deploy the 270゚ awning and walls before the heavy rain. The campfire in a can really warmed up the area. Each panel has a place on the awning.

    Solar on engine hood?

The heat issue is related to the solar controller. Summer temps plus engine temps overheat the controller. I solved that by mounting the waterproof controller on the bumper. Be sure to mount with the heat sink out so it can dispel heat.

Recommend a great, not just good, first aid kit.

I have an Adventure Medicine professional guide kit. I added some extra CATs and trauma dressings in a separate bag. According to Adventure Medicine ,the kits are good for three years. When mine hits three years, I'll keep what I can and throw away the rest and buy a new kit.

I have my local fabricator do any mods I need. I don't have rear jacks and have never seen the need for them. I added a ArkPak XO jack in addition to the stock jack. It is only there for emergencies.
