    Go with the Tru-Trac in the front and rear. Excellent drivability- you hardly know its there. I'm running one in the rear of both a 69 camaro and my 71K10 and they will take a lot of abuse. I'm also running a spartan locker in the front of the K10 and in 2WD you don't even know its there but...

    Front Locker is it needed?

    Built the rest of the truck out how you want and take it on a few trips and then decide. If you think you want to make a gearing change due to larger tires & added weight then I would certainly add a locker at the same time but I wouldn't open up an axle just to add a locker.

    If it were me I would install a secondary transmission cooler with fan AND run a high quality synthetic fluid in it and be done with it.
