More progress! Bought some foam, fenders got some work, rear bumper started, made the base for the table mount, made rear shackle tabs, got the top put on the layout table, put on studs for the mud flaps and a few other things:

Are you planning on fixing your incorrect spring hangers/shackles? Somewhat dangerous to leave them like that especially if the bushings have wear on them.
Why channel and angle instead of tube? You really should have coped the cross members to fit inside the channel side rails. What's with the two channels down the middle? Spring attachment?
Yeah definitely better than the threaded links for sure. I like those coiled cables. I usually use weld on loops for my chains like this. You can open the gap slightly with a cut off wheel in your grinder. Thread the chains/cables on, clamp it and weld it on. Pretty permanent.
It's going to be plug welded to the frame and it's going to have an inch of foam and fiberglass sheet laminated on top of it and vinyl tile or some sort of floor covering over that.
