Is this the 5ft or 6ft model? Would you sell without the Tent? I notice it looks like you pulled this with a 4Runner.......you have 315's on the trailer, were you running 315 (35's) on your 4Runner? How water tight is the trailer?
The tent height on the XV3 seems rather low, to where if you used a Foxwing it seems like you would have to duck to go under it. Is there any way to raise the tent on the XV3? Is the foxwing high enough so it doesn't hit you in the head?
Keep this thread updated if you hear anything. I am going to go back and re-work my brackets to raise the awning up even further. The bottom of the awning should ideally be flush with the bottom of the rack. This is to allow the table slide to work. Although I am not sure if the table slide...
Do you all think the Front Runner adapter (Steel) can be welded to the Eezi-Awn adapter (Aluminum)? If so, I think I can just take them to a welder and have them lined up exactly like I want and have them weld it........I don't know much about welding so not sure if thats possible.
I am doing chair shopping as well. The Front Runner chair is on my short list. I am also seriously considering the Kermit Chair: http://www.kermitchair.com
I lined the bottom hole in Front Runner mounts up with the bottom hole of the Eezi Awn, and then had to drill an upper hole. FR has a "slot" dead center, not a hole up top, but its too far away, so you have t drill a new hole. I also had to use a countersink bit and further drill out the Eezi...
So I drilled the Front Runner mounts in order to attach them to the Eezi Awn mounts. Here are some pics, curious to what others did and how it turned out.
Front Runner's Eezi-Awn brackets do not have the channels in them. I am not sure why. It would seem the best way is to just make the bracket so all you need is the bracket. The FR brackets are designed to connect to the Eezi-Awn brackets, which of course are not included with Eezi-Awn...
Prepare to be further disappointed.
I too purchased the Eezi-Awn 1000 2.5M. It was slightly damaged in shipment (broken closure), but Paul sent me the parts to fix it up.
I also was not aware you needed brackets, so I bought a pair from Equipt1. I also bought the Front Runner brackets. What...
I would love to have pressurized water so that I can hose off some items. It seems an air compressor could be very useful in general and I was wondering if its easy to outfit an air compressor to also be able to spray water?
